Preliminary Study of IVIM MRI in Evaluating Renal Ischemia Reperfusion Injury in RatsObjectivesTo investigate DWI-IVIM technique tracking renal IRI process in rats.To demonstrate the changes of IVIM parameters in IRI model initially and compare the efficacy of various parameters in the diagnosis of renal injury.Materials and MethodsRenal IRI models were established by clamping bilateral renal arteries for 45 min at the same time in SD rats.Control groups and eight rats randomly selected from model groups at time point 1h,1d,3d,7d,14d,and 28d were performed MRI scan.The venous blood was taken immediately and kidney tissues were sacrificed for pathological examination.The D value,D*value,f value and ADC value of the outer cortex,OSOM and ISOM were measured.IVIM parameters of each layer and laboratory results were statistically analyzed with pathological results.ResultsExcept for group 1d,creatinine and urea of the other model groups were not statistically different from the control group.In the renal cortex and the OSOM,D value and ADC value of every model group were statistical different from control group(P<0.05);the f value of the renal cortex in group lh-7d was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05);there was no statistical difference between the D*and the control group.In ISOM,compared with the control group,D value of each model group decreased(P<0.05);except for the 1h,3d,and 7d groups,ADC values of the other model groups were not statistically significant with the control group;only the f values of 1h and 3d groups were significantly different when compared to the control group,and the D*value was lower than that of the control group at 1 hour(P<0.05).There was a high negative correlation between D value and pathological score,low correlation between pathological score and f value in OSOM and ISOM.Pathological score was moderate correlated with D value and ADC value in CO and ISOM,as well as ADC value in OSOM.ConclusionMagnetic resonance DWI-IVIM imaging has a high value in monitoring the progress of renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats and judging the degree of renal injury.Part ?
