Study On The Health Service Utilization And Influential Factors For The Floating Elderly

With rapidly population aging and higher stability of floating population,family-based migration has become a trend.The number of the floating elderly for various reasons is gradually expanding,which places higher demands on the resource of medical and health services in the inflow areas.Related problems are getting more and more attention.On the basis of theories and literature review at home and abroad,first of all,the analysis framework and theoretical assumptions of mobile medical services for the floating elderly are constructed.Then,China Dynamic Monitoring Survey Data of the Floating Population and special investigation for the elderly in 2015 is adopted to illustrate the demographic characteristics and examine the utilization levels of medical and health services in a variety of analysis methods,which includes quantitative and qualitative analysis for verification of theoretical assumptions.The study shows that the utilization level of medical and health services by the floating elderly is very low generally,which influenced by predisposing characteristic,enabling resources,health needs and environment system.Among them,the reasons for mobility and distance of migration are the most important factors,while household registration system is the most severe obstacle for the elderly floating to use the health services.In addition,there was no significant difference between the floating elderly whose children have Hukou in the flow area or not.According to the results and problems above mentioned,we put forward four suggestions:Firstly,Inflow areas should strengthen the establishment and management of the migrants'health records and promote the awareness of medical services among the elderly floating through the publicity of health knowledge.Second,to accelerate the reform of household registration system to achieve equalization of basic public services and health care for the elderly people.Third,according to the differences among mobile elderly groups,to meet the diverse medical service needs of different elderly floating groups.Fourth,to estsablish long-term observation data of floating population data to improve the management of chronic diseases,which will set up a public health security system for the floating elderly.
