Background:Diabetes has become one of the most important killers that endanger human health. Its incidence rate has been increasing yearly.A large number of studies have been conducted on the treatment of diabetes at home and abroad. At present, most of the treatment methods used in clinical treatment can only be palliative and have certain side effects. In addition, physical therapy, natural remedies, etc.have been studied at home and abroad to achieve the purpose of treating the disease. The lack of core technologies or system organization and management eventually ended up failing to completely solve the problem. With the deepening of research, people recognize that the microcirculation disorder is the basis of the onset of diabetes.Traditional chinese medicine believes that clearing the meridians can smooth the blood flow and improve the microcirculation. In clinical work,low-frequency pulse meridian therapy has been used in the treatment of diabetic complications for many years. However, the curative effect of diabetes itself treated with low-frequency pulse meridian is not clear. Therefore, the clinical efficacy of T2 DM patients treated with the low-frequency pulse meridian therapy instrument was observed and summed in this study in order to provide a treatment method in newly-diagnosed T2 DM patients with a small pain and small side effects. Objective:To investigate the efficacy of patients with newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes treated with low-frequency pulse meridian therapeutic apparatus and its possible mechanisms in order to provide a new treatment method for them. Methods:From September 2015 to December 2016,60 cases of newly-diagnosed T2 DM patients diagnosed in our hospital, including male 32,female 28,age 35~58 years old,the course of diseases in 0~36 months. All the selected patients accorded with entering the group and exclusion criteria, and all patients and their families agreed to sign informed consent. All of the patients in clinic order with odd and even method was divided into control(n=30)and treatment groups(n=30).The individual treatment plan for each patient was determined by the research team according to their age, sex, occupation and educational level on the basis of Guidelines for nutritional therapy for diabetes medicine in China and Guidelines for the exercise of type 2 diabetes. At the same time, the patients in the treatment group were treated with low-frequency pulse meridian therapy instrument,30 min/time,1 time at an interval of 3 days in the first month;then,1 time per week in the second and third months. The patients in both groups had been respectively measured in terms of body mass index(BMI),abdominal perimeter(AD),blood pressure(BP),fasting blood glucose(FBG),post-meal 2h blood glucose(2hPG),fasting insulin(FINS),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterin(LDL-C)and high density lipoprotein cholesterin(HDL-C)levels before and 1 and 3 months after treatment. Results:One months after treatment, there were no significant differences between the indexes before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences between the levels of FPG,2hPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,BMI and AD in the treatment group before and after treatment(P < 0.05),and there were significant differences between the levels of FPG,2hPG,FINS and LDL-C compared to the control group(P < 0.05);After 3 months of treatment, there were significant differences between the levels of FPG,2hPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,HbA1 c,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C and AD before and after treatment in the control group(P < 0.05).There were significant differences(P < 0.05)between all indicators in the treatment group, and there were significant differences between the levels of FPG,2hPG,FINS,HbA1 c,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C and BP compared to the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The low-frequency pulse meridian therapeutic apparatus can improve insulin resistance in the patients with newly-diagnosed T2 DM,reduce blood sugar, blood pressure, and regulate blood lipid metabolism disorder.
