Objective:This paper discusses the clinical value of detection of RDW,UA and CRP in prognosis of the patients with Acute Pulmonary Embolism. Methods:We collected 93 patients(male 56,female 37)which Acute Pulmonary Embolism were diagnosed,Records the levels of RDW?UA and CRP when the patients arrived.According to severity of disease, the APE patients were divided into low-risk,middle-risk and high-risk group.According to the clinical prognosis, the APE patients were divided into survical and death group. The RDW?UA and CRP level in different groups and the correlation with the prognosis were compared.Result: The levels of RDW?UA were much higher in middle-risk and high-risk group than low –risk group. The levels of RDW?UA in high-risk group were also much higher than middle –risk group(P<0.05).The levels of RDW?UA in death group were also much higher than survival group(P<0.05).Three groups of CRP levels were significantly higher(compared with normal reference values),but the difference was not statistically significant. The levels of CRP in death group were not statistically significant than survival group. Conclusion:Pulmonary embolism patients, who have higher RDW?UA levels, the risk stratification of patients is much higher, the mortality is much higher. For patients with acute pulmonary embolism RDW?UA examination can help in the severity and prognosis. But for patients with acute pulmonary embolism CRP examination can not help in the severity and prognosis.
