Objective To assess the prognostic value of pulmonary vascular permeability index?PVPI?in acute lung injury patients.Method Acute lung injury patients with pulse indicator continuous cardiac output?PiCCO?system were included in ICU department.PVPI were continuous recorded on Oh?24h?72h and the day before death by PiCCO system.Results?1?42 patients were admitted and 19 patients were survived.?2?On Oh,the PVPI was significant difference between survivors?1.64±0.58?and nonsurvivors?2.34±1.30?,P=0.02.The PVPI of Group nonsurvivors were gradually rise, was significant higher than the survivors?2.92±1.50?VS?1.61±0.33?on 72h?P<0.05?,reached the highest level?4.63±2.68?on the day before death.?3?Between the survivors and nonsurvivors groups, oxygenation index compares,On Oh?24h,the statistics does not have the differences?P>0.05?.But on 72h,There was a remarkable difference between the two group,P=0.04.?4?the patients were divided by the PVPI,group one<3,group two ?3,and calculated mortality respectively. On Oh,the mortality were 48.6%and 100%respectively.On 24h,the mortality were 51.4%and 85.7%respectively.On 72h,the mortality were 50%and 100%respectively.Conculsion Continuous PVPI monitoring is of great clinical value and better perspective than PiO2/FiO2 in acute lung injury patients.
