The Study On The Burden Of Care Of Elderly Chronic Diseases By "Sandwich Generation"

Under the background of aging population,the number of chronic diseases in China is increasing.The change of family pattern makes traditional family support function impacted.The demand for care of the elderly with chronic diseases gradually increases,which makes their family caregivers bear huge burden of care.The long-term care load is a threat to the customer's own health,psychological adjustment and so on.Domestic support policies for caregivers did not form a system,and the policy and financial support of the state in home,community and institutional endowment mostly tended to the elderly,to a certain extent,it could relieve the pressure of caregivers,but it could not alleviate from the source.The caregivers urgently need practical support policies to reduce the burden of care.This study mainly adopts the method of literature and questionnaire,and takes "sandwich generation" family caregivers as the research object,analyzes the specific performance and influencing factors of caregivers'care load,and explores ways to reduce the burden of care.The study found that the care load of family caregivers of the "sandwich generation"was mainly embodied in the economic,social,health and family aspects.The influencing factors include caregiver age,economic income,in service status,care time,family siblings,age,knowledge level,number of sick people,satisfaction with care,daily living ability and loneliness.Through the analysis and experience of domestic and foreign experience,the path of reducing the "sandwich" family caregivers is constructed from three aspects of government,society and family.The support policy at the government level ensures the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly and caregivers of chronic diseases,provides economic support for the elderly with chronic diseases and their caregivers,provides employment support for caregivers,and establishes a care insurance system that is consistent with China's national conditions.The support ways at the social level include strengthening community's concern for chronic disease elderly and caregivers,expanding and implementing community service contents and integrating social resources to provide alternative care services for caregiver.Family support approaches include giving full play to family care function,emphasizing family care responsibilities,implementing supplementary services of other family members,giving psychological support to caregivers,etc.Only the government,family and society three aspects of the force to help from the source to reduce the"caregiver burden sandwich generation caregivers,improving their quality of life,let the old man with chronic disease can be a healthy life.
