OBJECTIVE: To investigate the value of color Doppler ultrasonography on the operation of transverse tibial bone transport of diabetic foot.METHODS: Twenty-six cases of patients with diabetic foot of Wagner staging ≥ 3 and Indicated for transverse tibial bone transport were detet by color Doppler ultrasonography to monitor the Hemodynamic indexes :Systolic peak flow velocity(Vmax),diastolic peak flow velocity(Vmin),resistance index(RI)and lumen diameter(d).The preoperative and postoperative blood flow(q)changes of the bilateral first to third dorsal metatarsal artery and posterior tibial artery in preoperative and postoperative 5D,postoperative 4W and postoperative 12 W were calculated and compared.RESULTS: 1.In the 26 cases of patients with diabetic foot, two cases were ampution, two cases’ toes necrosis were released,22 cases were healing of wound after operation.2,The transport side: The hemodynamic parameters Vmax,Vmin and blood flow Q of Posterior tibial artery of postoperative cases gradually increased comparted with preoperative cases;the hemodynamic parameters Vmax,Vmin and blood flow Q of the first metatarsal dorsal artery of postoperative cases decreased gradually comparted with preoperativecases. There were no significant difference in hemodynamics and blood flow parameters of the 2rd and 3th dorsal metatarsal arteries between preoperative cases and postoperative cases(P>0.05).3,No transport side: Hemodynamic parameters Vmax,Vmin and blood flow Q of posterior tibial artery, dorsal metatarsal artery of the first~ third gradually decreased, but resistance index(RI)increased gradually.CONCLUSION: The microvascular blood flow of patients with diabetic foot were increased after transverse tibial bone transport confirmed by Color Doppler ultrasound monitor. So the mechanism of transverse tibial bone transport could be used to treat the diabetic foot was clarified by ultrasound examination.
