decoction was complemented by summarizing the understanding of its pathogenesis and main symptoms of syndrome from the doctors through the ages.2)Exploration of clinical application problems for fuzi xiexin decoction,including its timing and pathogenesis,the application of its addition and minus,its drug form and dosage,its decoction method,its period of treatment,its curative effect and matters related to clinical considerations.Establishing the main diseases spectrum of prescription facilitated the communications among the doctors and the dissemination and accumulation of its clinical experience.3)By comparing the similar ones,for example the banxia xiexin decoction,shengjiang xiexin decoction,gancao xiexin decoction and daihuang huanglian xiexindecoction,and analyzing the pathogenesis,the disease tendency and the disease's location,the indication of fuzi xiexin decoction was illustrated.4)the spectrum of diseases of fuzi xiexin decoction was broadened,modified and commented by statistic analyzation on the original and improved formulation of fuzi xiexin decoction and summarization of Professor Chai's clinical experience.Results: 1)During the patients cured by fuzi xiexin decoction in clinical application,whose average age was 50.28,the youngest patient was 16 years old,while the oldest was93.Fuzi Xiexin Decoction can be used for both men and women,the
