Rabies Health Spreading Research Of Suyan Village, Guangxi Province

Rabies is also called mad dog disease.It is kind of amphixenosis with 100%mortality rate once infected.For the prevention and treatment of rabies,health communication is an indispensable line of defense.It can effectively increase the cognition,attitude,and behavior level of susceptible people on rabies prevention information.Since 1987,the incidence of rabies in Guangxi region has been at the forefront in China.After relevant departments'recommendations and multiple considerations,Suyan Village of Yulin in Guangxi Province,which is representati,ve of rural areas in terms of economic and cultural development and rabies health communication,is selected as the study site for field investigation.This article combines quantitative research with qualitative research.Taking Lasswell's 5W transmission model as a framework,a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of rabies health communication system in Suyan Village was conducted,including research on dissemination subjects(the main information disseminators involved in the prevention of rabies in Suyan Village,and the operational mechanism among all communication entities),research on dissemination content and channels(what information is transmitted,and what is the structure of information dissemination),audience research(population structure,use of medium,etc.)and risk perception studies(the villagers'cognition of rabies risk).The survey was conducted in the form of questionnaires and in-depth interviews.From the perspectives of sociology,psychology,statistics and communication,the loopholes that exist in the health communication model of the rabies prevention and treatment line(human post-exposure treatment,dog immunization and dog management)in Suyan Village's ralbies health communication system were found,and put forward targeted recommendations for health communication in rural areas,which then spread to other regions in the province and even the major provincial areas with high incidence of rabies in southern China,so as to promote the prevention and treatment of rabies to achieve great progress and provide vivid experience for the research on rabies health communication.
