[Objective]To explore the level of serum undercarboxylated osteocalcin(ucOC)and its correlation with glucose, lipid metabolism in type 2 diabetes patients.[Methods]We enrolled 123 hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes(40-80years old)into the study, among which 69 were male, average age(58.65±11.59)years old,and 54 were female, average age(59.19±11.11)years old.We randomly close 40 healthy individuals(43-76 years old)who accepted health examination during the same period as the contrast.20 were male among them, average age(58.4019.57)years old,and 20 were female, average age(55.85±7.87)years old.The patients with type 2 diabetes, according to the course is divided into less than 5 years group(D1 group,43 cases),5-15 years group(D2 group,51),more than 15 years group(D3 group,29 cases).Compaired each group of serum ucOC level and glucose, lipid metabolism index differences. In addition, divided type 2 diabetes patients into two groups by the ucOC concentration and analyze its correlation with glucose, lipid metabolism index. We used Logistic regression analysis to learn more about the risk and protective factors of type 2 diabetes.[Results](1)Compared with control subjects, serum TG level was significantly increased in type2 diabetic patients. But the serum ucOC level in type2 diabetic patients is significantly lower than the control group.(2)The level of serum CTX,FCP in type 2 diabetes patients with short course is significantly higher than other groups.(3)For the type 2 diabetes patients,HbAlc level was negatively correlated with serum ucOC and FCP,positively correlated with CTX;The serum ucOC level was negatively correlated with HbA1c and TG.(4)Logistic regression analysis showed that B value(Logistic regression coefficient)was greater than 0,and Exp(B)or OR was greater than 1 in TG item.B value was less than 0,and Exp(B)was less than 1 in ucOC item.Wald test showed P<0.05.[Conclusion]The serum ucOC level is significantly lower in type 2 diabetes patients.Body may delay ucOC decline by increasing bone resorption and improve glucose metabolism in the early type 2 diabetes.Serum ucOC levels drop can lead to higher HbAlc,TG in type 2 diabetes patients.
