Comparison Of Totally Extraperitoneal Prosthesis With Two Laparoscopes And Totally Extraperitoneal Prosthesis In Inguinal Hernia Operation Curative Effect

ObjectiveTo summarize the experience of totally extraperitoneal prosthesis(TEP)with two laparoscopes,and compare the clinical effect between totally extraperitoneal prosthesis(TEP)with two laparoscopes and totally extraperitoneal prosthesis(TEP).MethodsA total of 137 cases with inguinal hernias were enrolled from October 2015 to April 2017 in No.3 Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University.The patients were divided into 2 groups:71 patients treated with totally extraperitoneal prosthesis(TEP)with two laparoscopes as group A and 66 patients with TEP as group B.This study also combine the method of extraperitoneal dissection utilizing gas insufflation through Veress needle introduced from the point of lower trisection of the connecting line between the umbilicus and the pubic symphysis.The operation time,postoperative hospitalization,peering into the contralateral hidden hernia,postoperative pain,postoperative seroma and postoperative recurrence rate were compared between the 2 groups.ResultAll 137 cases were operated successfully.The operation time of group A was(57±8)minutes,and that of group B was(53±7)minutes.The difference was significant(P < 0.05).There was also a significant difference in detection of contralateral hidden hernia(P < 0.05).and there were no difference with the incidence of postoperative complications and postoperative hospitalization days(P > 0.05).The follow-up period ranged from 1 to 18 months,no recurrence was observed during this period.ConclusionTEP with two laparoscopes can treat inguinal hernia precisely.It can also find compound inguinal hernia and occult inguinal hernia,apply to the treatment of inguinal hernia.
