BackgroundObesity has gradually become a worldwide public health problem. The incidence of obesity has increased year by year, especially the obesity trend of children and adolescents is becoming more and more serious. One of the main causes of obesity is diet, which now contains more and more fat.More and more studies have shown that there is a decrease in testicular function in obese adult males, which is characterized by a decrease in sperm count and quality, and a decrease in androgen.Testis is an important reproductive organ. Its main function is to produce spermatozoa and secrete testosterone. After birth, testicles can not produce spermatozoa, and testicles need further development and maturation.Pre maturity is an important stage of testicular development, especially adolescence, which is the key stage of testicular development. At this time the testicles can not produce sperm, the testicle is mainly the spermatogonial cell proliferation through mitosis,Leydig cell produce a small amount of androgen, testicular spermatogenesis function and androgen level is low.Testicular spermatogonial cells in adult adult stage are differentiated into spermatocytes and spermatozoa are produced by meiosis, and the testicular spermatogenesis function and androgen level in adult stage after sexual maturity are increased.Because of the differences in testicular function in the two stages of sexual maturity,we suggest that there is a difference in the effect of high fat feeding on the testicular function of mice at the two stages of sexual maturity.ObjectiveThe effects of high fat diet on testicular function in mice at different developmental stages were observed.Method1.48 C57BL/6 male mice aged 4 weeks were divided into high fat diet group(H group,n=24)and normal diet group(N group,n=24).At the age of 8 weeks,8 mice in the two groups were selected for the evaluation of testicular function, such as sperm count, acrosome structure, serum testosterone and testicular structure. At the same time,At the same time, male mice were mated with 8 weeks old C57BL/6 female mice, and the pregnant and offspring mice were observed in the two groups.2.The remaining normal diet group(N group,n=16)8 week old mice were divided into to normal diet group(NN group,n=8)and high fat diet group(NH group,n=8),the remaining 8 week old mice of high fat diet group(H group,n=8)were divided into high fat diet group(HH group HH,n=8)and normal diet group(HN group HN,n=8).16 week old mice were used to evaluate the testicular function and reproductive ability of male mice as well as those of 8 week old mice.Result1.Nutritional Obese Mice in childhood, their sperm counts decreased and their apoptotic cells increased in the testis, but their reproductive capacity was unaffected.2.There was no significant difference between HN group and NN group in testis function and reproductive ability.Compared with NN group, the sperm count of HH group and NH group decreased, the destruction of the acrosome structure increased, the apoptosis cells of testis increased, and the reproductive ability decreased. There was no significant difference between HH group and NH group in testicular function and reproductive ability.Conclusion1.testicular function of high-fat diet mice was lower than that of common diet mice before sexual maturation.2.high fat fed mice recovered to normal diet before sexual maturation.3.high fat diet has a greater effect on the mature testicular function.
