| Objective: By investigation of the relationship between transforming growth factor-β1,serum Galectin-3 and left atrial volume index,to further verify that serum Galectin-3 and TGF-β1 play important role on atrial fibrillation development,atrial fibrosis and structural remodeling,which provide more basis and train of thought for clinical atrial fibrillation severity assessment and treatment.Methods: We included 104 AF patients(50 male and 54 female)from Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University-Qingdao municipal hospital,in the department of cardiovascular medicine,endocrinology,neurology and emergency department.These include non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(57 cases),paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(47 cases).At the same time,the basic information of 43 cases of gender,age,height and weight were compared with those of patients with atrial fibrillation group.Rick after admission to collect radial veins blood check on an empty stomach ALT,AST,serum creatinine,blood routine,CRP,thyroid function,myocardial marker,the BNP and related laboratory tests,namely the 12-lead electrocardiogram examination on admission,24-hour dynamic ecg examination.By chest cardiac ultrasound and record inner diameter and left ventricular ejection fraction and left atrial septum thickness,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter.Cardiac ultrasound was used,at the same time,calculating the left atrial volume by the formula,calculating the volume index according to the surface area.By using ELISA method to detect Galactin-3 and TGF-β1.Dvide atrial fibrillation into persistent atrial fibrillation and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation based on duration of onset of atrial fibrillation.Meanwhile,compared with the sinus rhythm control group,by comparing the difference of TGF-β1,serum Galectin-3,and sinus rhythm control group to verify if they have statistical significance.Using Pearson to further explored the correlation between the TGF-β1,Galactin-3 and the left atrial volume index.The influence factors of the left atrial volume index were obtained by multivariate linear regression analysis.Obtaining the influence factors of the left atrial volume index by multivariate linear regression analysis.Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors associated with atrial fibrillation.Results:1.Serum Galectin-3 serological level persistent atrial fibrillation group(1622.86±391.8pg/ml)was significantly higher than these in Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group(1455.64±365.5pg/ml)(P=0.049)and controls(1173.90±365.94pg/ml),and Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation was significantly higher than Sinus rhythm patients(P=0.02).2.The TGF-β1 level of persistent atrial fibrillation group(28.66±10.28 pg/ml)was significantly higher than these in Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group(24.12±8.05 pg/ml)(P=0.031)and controls(18.98±7.57(P < 0.05)(P=0.02),concentration of controls was significantly lower than Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group(P<0.05).3.Left atrial volume index of persistent atrial fibrillation group(45.58±9.34ml/m2)was significantly higher than these in Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group(40.99±8.57ml/m 2)(P=0.03)and controls(35.02±8.10ml/m 2)(P<0.01),Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation was significantly higher than Sinus rhythm patients(P=0.02).4.By Pearson correlation analysis method to further conclude: The left atrial volume index was positively correlated with TGF-β1(r=0.1182,P < 0.05),Galectin-3(r=0.333,P < 0.05).Multi-factor linear regression analysis method conclude: The left atrial volume index was positively correlated with Galectin-3 serological level,TGF-β1 serum concentration,left atrial diameter and atrial fibrillation.5.Logistic multifactor regression analysis conclude: Age,left atrial volume index,Galectin-3 and TGF-β1 were risk factors for the development of atrial fibrillation.Conclusion:1.TGF-β1,Serum Galectin-3serological level in persistent atrial fibrillation group and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group are significantly higher than controls,and those in persistent atrial fibrillation group was significantly higher than paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group.2.The serum concentration of Galectin-3 and TGF-β1 in atrial fibrillation was positively correlated with the left atrial volume index.Serum concentration of Galectin-3 and TGF-β1 can promote atrial fibrillation in patients with atrial fibrillation,further causing structure reconstruction,so Serum Galectin-3 and TGF-β1 may play important role in the occurance,development and maintenance of atrial fibrillation. |
