Knee anterior cruciate ligament injury is one of the common sports injury, with the improvement of people's life quality requirements and the rapid development of the arthroscopic technique in orthopedic, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery as a treatment for anterior cruciate ligament injury of a kind of standard operation, has obtained the good clinical curative effect. And what are we particularly concerned about is that after the cruciate ligament reconstruction, postoperative knee balance control ability and the risk of recurrence of ACL injury. These defects after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in the extent is still largely unknown. Therefore, this paper attempts to through to the postoperative patients with ACL dynamic posture balance ability of research,to reveal the patients postoperative lower limb loss of dynamic posture stability and pertinence of neuromuscular rehabilitation training. The primary hypothesis of the present study was that patients who have undergone ACL reconstruction and returned to sport participation would exhibit deficits in subjective knee questionnaires rating scales and the relative displacement distance of SEBT in every direction,or in other words, the deficiency of dynamic postural stability when compared with an age-,activity-,and sex-matched uninjured control group. Objective: To investigate people who have undergone ACL reconstruction, that there exist a deficiency of dynamic postural stability as quantified by the Star Excursion Balance Test?SEBT?.Design: Descriptive laboratory study.Patients or Other Participants: fourteen patients who have accepted the anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery in recent three years of our hospital and seventeen uninjured controls. The other variables should be controled, and each participant needs to complete the IKDC Subjective Knee Form as well as the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score?KOOS?subscales. Each participant needs to perform three trials in three reach direction,anterior,posterior-medial,and posterior-lateral.A 1.5-m measuring tape would be used to measure the reach distance.Main Outcome Measure?s?: Scores of the subjective knee questionnaires;A percentage of leg length is used to express the reach distances for each directional component. At the same time, record every movement complete time? It's initiation when the participant moved from double-legged to single-legged stance, and it's ending when he returned to the double-legged stance position.?Results: The Levene test for equality of variance revealed that the assumption of equal variance was violated for all subjective measures. The ACL-R participants differed from the control participants on the IKDC Subjective Knee Form?P<0.001?,as well as on the KOOSpain?P<0.05?,KOOSsymptoms?P<0.001?,KOOSsport?P<0.05?,and KOOSKQoL?P<0.001?.There is no different between the ACL-R participants and the control participants on the KOOSADL?P>0.05?.Independent-samples t tests were used to test for differences in normalized reach distances on the SEBT.In the SEBT,ACL-R group had decreased reach distances on the posterior-medial?P<0.01?and posterior-lateral?P<0.01?directional components and shows no difference on the anterior reach distances?P>0.016?from the control group. Conclusions: Compared with the healthy group, people who have experienced a anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery, whether the scores of the subjective knee questionnaires,or the relative displacement distance on SEBT,show a obvious difference. These results indicate that the ACL-R postoperative patients still exist defects in knee joint dynamic posture stability, and mainly in posterior stability.Maybe we can act some continuing, targeted neuromuscular rehabilitation trainings to let them get better subjective feelings and motion functions, and reduce the risk of the future reinjury of lower limb according to the results. At the same time,if we can do more rigorous argumentation about SEBT and evolve the performance of the SEBT,it may become a important tool of clinical follow-up evaluation effect of surgery and rehabilitation.
