Research On The Influence Mechanism Of Harbin Citizens’ Attitude Towards Organ Donation

Taking 720 citizens in three municipal districts and two administrative villages in Harbin as the research object,the influencing factors of attitude towards organ donation in Harbin are discussed through questionnaire survey.This paper investigates the differences in social demographic variables among Harbin citizens’ attitudes towards organ donation and death and social support by using SPSS statistical software and analyzes three factors’ relationships;meanwhile,the effects of social support on Harbin citizens’ attitudes towards organ donation and death are also researched.The specific results are shown as follows:1.There are significant differences in age,educational background,marital status and registered permanent residence of Harbin citizens’ attitude towards organ donation.2.There are significant differences in age,nationality,educational background,marital status and religious belief of Harbin citizens’ attitude towards death.3.There are significant differences in gender,age,religious belief,educational background and marital status of Harbin citizens’ social support.4.Harbin citizens’ attitude towards organ donation is negatively correlated with death avoidance,death escape acceptance and death approach acceptance,while positively correlated with social support;also,there is a significant positive correlation among death avoidance,neutral natural acceptance and social support.5.Harbin citizens’ attitude toward death and social support have a significant predictive effect on that towards organ donation,and social support plays a moderating role between attitudes towards organ donation and death.Based on the empirical research results,this paper puts forward the following suggestions by improving citizens’ recognition and attitude towards death and perfecting the external social support system to increase the organ donation rate in Harbin.1.From the personal perspective of citizens,they should promote the public to establish a positive view of death,to eliminate the fear of death,and to strengthen the positive significance and value of existence.2.From the perspective of medical institutions,they should optimize the transplantation organization system,strengthen multi-way cooperation,and speed up the professionalization and specialization of related personnel in organ donation organizations;meanwhile,organ coordinators and relevant medical staff should communicate effectively with volunteers and their families.3.From the perspective of the government,they should perfect the legal mechanism,accelerate the process of establishing the legal standard of brain death,transform gradually from consent mode into presumptive consent mode,perfect the compensation mechanism,establish the exclusive fund of organ donation field and also a dual compensation mechanism of material incentive coexisting with spirit incentive,strengthen the propaganda mechanism,build and improve organ donation education system,vitalize the lofty life value and social meaning of organ donation behavior,rebuild the trust mechanism,continuously improve the credibility image of Harbin municipal government,and fully respect individual citizens for their organ donation will.
