Clinical Research On Reinforcing The Kidney And Dispersing The Liver Method For Hair Loss In Middle-Aged Patients

Objective:To observe the effect of reinforcing the kidney and dispersing the liver method for hair loss in middle-aged patients.Method:50 patients were diagnosed with middle-aged baldness.There are 17 patients with alopecia areata and 33 patients with alopecia seborrhoeica.They received a herb prescription(to tonify the kidney and disperse the liver)made of(radix rehmanniae recen,cortex moutan,radix bupleuri,fructus aurantii,pericarpium citri reticulatae,angelica sinensis,ligusticum wallichii,rhizoma cyperi,eclipta alba,glossy privet fruit,polygonum multiflorum,semen cuscutae,black sesame),and boiled it in clean water(300 mL).They had to drink it every morning and evening for a total of four to six weeks.The changes of skin lesion score,dermatology life quality index(DLQI)were used to evaluate the curative effect.Results:After 4 to 6 weeks treatment given to the alopecia areata group,the prescription to tonify the kidney and disperse the liver can obviously reduce skin lesion score and DLQI score(all,P<0.01),and the patients state is significantly different from before treatment.3 cases of alopecia areata were fully cured,11 cases had significant effects,2 patients had effective results,and 1 of them didn't have any significant improvement.The total efficiency rate is 94.1%.After 4 to 6 weeks treatment,the prescription to reinforce the kidney and disperse the liver can obviously reduce skin lesion score and DLQI score(all,P<0.01)in alopecia seborrhoeica group.The results were significantly different from before treatment;3 cases fully recovered,16 patients had significant effects,5 of them had an effective treatment,and 9 cases didn't have any real changes.The total efficiency rate is 75.8%.Conclusion:1.The herb prescription to reinforce the kidney and disperse the liver can reduce the skin lesion score and DLQI score,improve skin lesion symptoms and quality of life of alopecia areata patients.2.The prescription to reinforce the kidney and disperse the liver can reduce skin lesion score and DLQI score,improve the skin lesion symptoms and the quality of life of alopecia seborrhoeica patients.3.The traditional Chinese medicine prescription to reinforce the kidney and disperse the liver is effective for hair loss in middle-aged patients.
