Study On The Health Status And Quality Of Life Of 4-5 Year Old Left Behind Children In Anhui

Objective: To understand the health status and quality of life of 4-5 year old left behind children in Anhui,and to explore the influencing factors of their quality of life,so as to provide basic data for further work.Methods: Using stratified random cluster sampling method.Five counties were selected according to the geographical location in Anhui.Then 1-3 townships were randomly selected to obtain about 400 live births from every country on the basis of the number of live births in 2015.To take a physical examination for all 4-5 year old left behind children and whose parents were measured by the Chinese version of PedsQL4.0 parent report scales.The health status and quality of life of left behind children was analyzed.Results: A total of 1994 left behind children and their parents were included in this study.The prevalence rate of left behind children's chronic disease and two-week prevalence of diseases was 0.9% and 22.4%.The incidence rate of low birth weight,growth retardation,emaciation,overweight,obesity,anemia,malnutrition and overnutrition were 0.5%,1.9%,2.3%,2.6%,0.7%,5.7%,4.3%,2.6% respectively.The PedsQL total scores,psychosocial summary and physical functioning,emotional functioning,social functioning,school performance scores of left behind children were79.85±12.52,78.57±13.08,82.23±14.66,78.76±16.68,84.87±15.55,72.09±15.19,respectively.In addition to social functioning,the scores were lower than average children.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that children's age,parents' outgoing situation,chronic disease,two-week prevalence of diseases and malnutrition were the factors influencing the quality of life of left behind children.The influencing factors of four dimensions of quality of life and psychosocial summary of left behind children include the age of children,parents' outgoing situation,father's occupation,family's total income last year,mother's income last year,the prevalence of chronic disease,two-week prevalence of diseases and malnutrition.Conclusion: The health status of 4-5 year old left behind children is good,but the quality of life of left behind children is lower than average children in Anhui.The factors that influence the quality of life and its dimensions and the psychosocial summary of left behind children were children's age,parents' outgoing situation,father's occupation,mother's income last year,family's total income last year,chronic disease,two-week prevalence of diseases and malnutrition.
