Objective To evaluate the effect of rhythmic auditory stimulation on gait training in post-stroke patients. In order to provide a certain basis for its clinical application and promotion of gait training in post-stroke patients. Methods The Pub Med,Cochrane Library,Elsevier Science Direct,Embase,Physiotherapy Evidence Database(PEDro),Web of Science,Chinese Bio Medical Literature database(CBM),Wanfang Database,VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)were searched for the randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of rhythmic auditory stimulation on gait training in post-stroke patients from the date of establishment to September,2017.The included studies were evaluated according to the method recommended by the Cochrane Library and the PEDro scale.Rev Man 5.3 was used to analyze the extracted data.Results12 trials were included(9 in English and 3 in Chinese).Compared with conventional gait training, rhythmic auditory stimulation training increased step length of affected side(MD=4.08,95% CI: 2.86~5.30,P<0.001),stride length(MD=18.42,95% CI: 14.94~21.91,P<0.001),cadence(MD=7.69,95% CI: 2.91~12.47,P=0.002),walking velocity(MD=14.56,95 % CI: 13.66~15.46,P<0.001),temporal symmetry(MD=0.12,95% CI: 0.09~0.15,P<0.001)and spatial symmetry(MD=-2.03,95% CI:-3.36~-0.69,P=0.003).Conclusion Gait training with rhythmic auditory stimulation could improve the walking function in post-stroke patients. It is possible to enhance gait training in stroke patients through the mechanism of auditory-motor entrainment, improving the cognition of psychology and cognition, compensating the disorder of internal rhythm, and enhancing the plasticity of nervous system.Rhythmic auditory stimulation for gait training is simple, safe, effective, does not increase the training time and economic burden of patients, and can be used for gait training in community-family rehabilitation stage. It is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
