| Objective:To study the current situation of burden of symptoms for maintenance hemodialysis patients and the self-management behavior as well as the quality of life, and to investigate the factors influencing burden of symptoms,self-management behavior and the quality of life, and to provide theoretical basis for improving self-management behavior, reducing the burden of symptoms, and improving the quality of life. Methods:Choose 295 patients with maintenance hemodialysis from Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture of Jilin province through the current situation investigation research and by convenience sampling method to have a questionnaire survey on symptom burden,self-management behavior and quality of life. The demographic characteristics and disease characteristics of the subjects was described with frequency and percentage, and the status of symptom burden,self-management behavior and quality of life of the subjects with mean±standard deviation. The differences in the general demographic and disease characteristics of the symptom burden and self-management behavior and quality of life were analyzed by T test and single factor ANOVA analysis, and the association among symptom burden,self-management behavior and the quality of life was analyzed through Pearson correlation test, and finally investigate the factors affecting the quality of life by multivariate linear regression.Results:(1)The total average score of the symptom burden of maintenance hemodialysis patients was 125.69±44.601 points, the average frequency of which was 40.72±14.040,the mean value of the severity was 41.41±13.962 points, and the average of the symptoms was 40.48±14.935.Each patient experienced an average of 10.23±2.815symptoms.The mental dimension of each item was 1.22±0.341 points, and the physiological dimensions were equally divided into 2.96±1.473 points. The symptom burden is different from marital status, educational level, working state, family average monthly income and medical pay mode, which have statistical significance.(P<0.05).(2)The self-management behavior of the maintenance hemodialysis patients was lower, with a total score of self-management behavior 2.62±0.376points,of which the general state management and social psychological behavior were 3.07±0.176 points, the management behavior of the diet was 2.47±0.501 points, the limiting behavior of liquid and ion was 2.40±0.521 points, and sports behavior was 1.94±0.442 points.Self-management behavior is different from different marital status, educational level and working status, with statistical significance.(P<0.05).(3)Maintenance hemodialysis patients life quality is low,the quality of life always divide 5.97±1.899,including kidney disease burden on average 7.25±1.324,psychological state to divide 7.07±1.120,and the kidney disease affects divide 5.76±2.098,body activity divide 4.67±2.271,symptoms of kidney divide 4.54±1.902.There were differences of the quality of life in different marital status, cultural level, working status and average monthly income of the family, which has statistical significance(P<0.05).(4)Pearson correlation analysis showed that the symptom burden of maintenance hemodialysis patients was negatively correlated with self-management behavior and quality of life(P<0.05).The self-management behavior was positively correlated with the quality of life.(5)Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the quality of life of maintenance hemodialysis patients was influenced by symptom burden, working status and educational level.(P<0.05).Conclusions:Maintenance hemodialysis patients have a lower symptom burden, lower level of self-management behavior and lower quality of life. The higher the level of self-management behavior, the lighter the patient’s symptom burden, the better their quality of life. The quality of life is affected by the burden of symptoms, working status and cultural level. It is suggested that the symptoms burden of maintenance hemodialysis patients should be fully evaluated and managed in the clinical nursing work, and the patients should be encouraged to take part in social activities in order to improve the quality of life. |
