ObjectiveThis study aimed to investigate the status of healthy behavior of patients with neoadjuvant chemotherapy for esophageal cancer, analysis of factors affecting healthy behavior of patients, understanding the quality of life of patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy, discussion of the relationship between healthy behavior and quality of life in patients,to help the nurses assist patients with esophageal cancer better, and to provide the theoretical basis of clinical nursing intervention.MethodsA convenient sampling method is used in this study,Patients with esophageal cancer in Henan Cancer Hospital are the target from December 2016 to August 2017.The questionnaire in this study includes the general information questionnaire, the Health promoting lifestyle profile II(HPLP-II),and the third edition of the Chinese version of EORTC QLQ-C30.The general information questionnaire, general information used to collect the research object(including: sociology, demography and clinical pathology);the Health promoting lifestyle profile(HPLP-II),for the investigation of health behavior status;EORTC QLQ-C30 Chinese version third,to determine the object of study of quality of life.During the study,a total of 125 questionnaires were issued,120 copies were recovered, and the recovery rate was 96%.SPSS17.0 software was used for data processing, using the mean and standard deviation or frequency, percentage of statistical description;in univariate analysis, comparison between groups using independent t test or ANOVA analysis;correlation study using partial correlation analysis;finally,by stepwise regression analysis, factors affecting the health behavior level of general information recognition.Results1 Status of healthy behavior of esophageal cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapyThe total health behavior level of 120 cases of esophageal cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy was(114.48 ± 17.81),which was lower than the national norm(128.47 ± 17.96),(P < 0.001).Among them, patients who are at the general level of health behavior account for the largest proportion, followed by those who are at good level of health behaviors and poor health behaviors, and fail to achieve excellent health behaviors.Among all the dimensions, interpersonal support scored the highest, followed by stress coping, nutrition, self fulfillment and health responsibility, and the lowest score was exercise behavior.2 Quality of life of patients with esophageal cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapyThe quality of life of 120 patients with esophageal cancer with neoadjuvant chemotherapy was(56.45 ± 17.63),lower than that of normal(60.7 ± 23.4),(P<0.05).In the functional field, the role function is the highest, the second is cognitive function and social function, and the score of body function is the lowest. In the area of symptoms, the scores of fatigue, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, economic difficulties and other areas were higher.3 Single factor analysis of factors influencing the health behavior of patients with esophageal cancer with neoadjuvant chemotherapyAn impact on the health behavior of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for patients with esophageal cancer single factor variance analysis showed that different individual characteristics: influence of neoadjuvant chemotherapy of esophageal cancer patients of different age, place of residence, education level, income per month is informed,BMI had on esophageal cancer patient's health behavior in different degree.4 Single factor analysis of factors influencing quality of life in patients with esophageal cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapyThe single factor variance analysis of the factors influencing the quality of life of the patients with neoadjuvant chemotherapy of esophageal cancer with different individual characteristics showed that the different sex, age, educational level, monthly income per capita, knowledge and BMI had different influence on the health behavior of the patients with esophageal cancer.5 Correlation analysis of health behavior and quality of life in patients with esophageal cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapyHealth behavior and quality of life of patients with esophageal cancer correlation analysis received neoadjuvant chemotherapy showed a positive correlation with neoadjuvant chemotherapy of patients with esophageal cancer overall health behavior and health behavior level of six dimensions and overall quality of life(r = 0.561,0.232,0.376,0.343,0.398,0.413,0.377,P < 0.05);the dimensions of health behavior, health responsibility, function dimension movement, self realization, social support and coping and quality of life were positively correlated(r = 0.453,0.365,0.327,0.382,0.405,0.423,P < 0.05);negative correlation dimension of health behavior and the dimensions of symptoms(r =-0.230,-0.208,-0.341,-0.196,-0.164,-0.201,P < 0.05).6 Multiple stepwise regression of factors affecting health behavior of esophageal cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapyMultiple stepwise regression analysis showed that age, monthly income per person, knowledge and education level were the main factors influencing the overall health level of patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Conclusions1 the results of this study showed that the health behaviors of patients with esophageal cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy were at a general level. The scores of all dimensions ranged from high to low in order: interpersonal relationship, stress management, nutrition, health responsibility, self actualization and exercise.2 the overall quality of life of patients with esophageal cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy is not high.In addition to the role function, the overall quality of life is poor, and the patients are more troubled by fatigue, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and financial difficulties.3 the general data of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for esophageal cancer patients include age,per capita income, patient's awareness of disease and education level, which will affect their health behavior level.4 there is a positive correlation between the health behavior and the overall quality of life of patients with esophageal cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The better the health behavior is,the better the overall quality of life and function.
