Objective: Clinical experience and scientific research achievement in prevention and treatments of recurrent respiratory tract infection in children with external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine through literature collation, data mining and combing. To further standardize the clinical application of external Chinese medicine therapy in the treatment of RRTI.Discussing the regularity among them,in order to provide refrence for clinical prevention and treatment of RRTI and the future direction of research. Methods: Through the full text database of Chinese academic journals,Wanfang,Weipi databases, this paper searched the literature on the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection in children. With recurrent respiratory,Complex children,RRTI,Chinese medicine, external treatment, chiropractic, massage, sachet, scentedbag, acupuncture, manipulation,c upping, moxibustion Zhuang medical thread, armature and so on,as the key words, according to the different requirements of each database, the corresponding formula is established.and set the age condition for infants, preschool children, children.A preliminary screening of 507 related articles, including CNKI 291,WANFANG 122 and VIP 94,was carried out.By reading the title, abstracting, eliminating, the repeated literature and obtaining306 articles of the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,95 articles which were not obviously relevant to this study and did not meet the inclusion criteria were eliminated after reading the full text.211 articles on the treatment of recurrent respiration tract infection in children with external therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Results:1.A preliminary screening of 507 related articles, including CNKI 291,WANFANG 122 and VIP 94,was carried out.By reading thetitle, abstracting, eliminating, the repeated literature and obtaining 306 articles of the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,95 articles which were not obviously relevant to this study and did not meet the inclusion criteria were eliminated after reading the full text.211 articles on the treatment of recurrent respiration tract infection in children with external therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2.The intervention of external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine on RRTI reports show an increasing trend, especially since2010,there have been a lot of literature report.3.Of the 211 articles included,175 articles had age records or reports in the remaining literature,0-16 years of age,46 of them were under 1year old(21.8%),36 articles had no age records or reports(17.1%).4.Of the 201 literature reports,only.4.were.polycentric.studies,and.the.rest.were.distributed.in.the.regi ons.of.Henan,Guangdong,Jiangsu,Shangdong,Hubei,Guangxi,and,other,provi nce.5.The most commonly used therapy for RRTI is acupoint application therapy(41.8 %).followed by massage therapy and chiropractic therapy. In addition, moxibustion,Xiangpei therapy and acupoint injection are also used in clinical practice.6.In all the analysis in the literature, the total number of actual case report for 14349 people, including the cure rate of 15.06%,effective rate reached 43.88%,the total effective rate was 90.06%.7.The invervention of RRTI by traditional Chinese medicine and external therapy alone is more common.some of the studies reported in the literature are as follows:traditional Chinese medicine combined with external therapy and western medicine combined with external therapy to intervene in RRTI,and the curative effect is about the same and effective.8.In the literature, there are more than 30 kinds of methods of intervention in RRTI by external treatment of TCM,among which the most frequently used ones are long lasting application, massage therapy, fragrant sac wear, etc. All of them have achieved satisfactory curative effect, but they also reflect the application of except nine volt patches.the unity of massage therapy and Xiangpei therapy is higher than that of other treatment, especially in the treatment of acupoint application, there are more reports of self-prescription.9.In the literature report, the most commonly used acupoint in acupoint application therapy are.lung.acupoints,followedbyDazhui,Dingchuan,Tiantu,Geshu,and,other,acupoint.10.Astragalus,cinnamon,atractylodes,macrocephala,atractylodes,astragal i,cinnamon, atractylodes, macrocephala, atractylodes.atractylodes clove, yuanha and others are the most commonly used drugs in acupoint application.herapy,such.as.Asarum,white mustard, kansui, ginger,Corydalis corydalis a and so on.11.Literature study reported that the most common syndromes in treatment of RRTI were deficiency of lung and spleen qi,followed by syndrome of qi and yin injury.12.Among the literature research reports, there are 47 projects supported by scientific research foundation,of which 9 are national,22 are province and 16 are municipal.13.In the clinical efficacy evaluation report, there were only 3 articles describing the adverse reactions in the treatment of external therapy. There were 5reports of adverse reactions, including 4 cases of skin allergies and 1 case of flashes of skin. Conclusion(s): 1.The clinical research on intervention of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection by external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine is increasing and deepening, which provides more evidence-based basis for clinical practice.2.The intervention of external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine on RRTI has been widely popularized throughout the country, the effective rate of external therapy of TCM for RRTI is high, but different evaluation methods are different, and the literature of multi-center,large sample and high quality is on the low side.it provides a further research direction for the intervention of RRTI in the external treatment of traditional Chinese Medicine.3.The most commonly used therapy for RRTI is acupoint application therapy.followed by massage therapy and chiropractic therapy,Xiangpei therapy. In acupoint application the main one is Fujiu.application.the.most.commonly.used.acupoint.in.acupoint.application.th erapy.are.lung.acupoints,followedbyDazhui,Dingchuan,Tiantu,Geshu,the most commonly used drugs in acupoint application therapy, such as Asarum, white mustard, kansui, ginger,Corydalis corydalis and so on,it is suitable for clinical popularization and use.4.from the literature report,we can find that there are many kings of syndromes in RRTI at present, which need to be further standardized and further studied. In addition, there is no evidence basis for high quality TCM dialectical classification of RRTI intervention by externaltreatment of TCM.Dialectical use of external Chinese medicine therapy to interfere with RRTI is the direction of our further research in the future.
