In order to effectively solve the problem of water and soil loss caused by large-scale natural gas pipeline construction in eastern Guangdong,this paper takes a natural gas pipeline project in eastern Guangdong as an example,analyzes the characteristics,causes and hazards of soil and water loss in the construction of natural gas pipeline in eastern Guangdong Province according to the natural conditions such as geology,climate and vegetation in the project area The division method of soil erosion prevention and control is used to predict the amount of soil and water loss.Combined with the prevention and control objectives of soil and water conservation,the layout and typical design of soil and water conservation measures are carried out,and the benefit analysis is carried out.The main research results are as follows:(1)The area of soil and water loss caused by project construction is 1527.40hm2,and 1489.62hm2 in natural recovery period.After the surface disturbance,the predicted soil and water loss is 102461 t and the newly increased soil and water loss is 77320 t.(2)According to the characteristics of the project,the natural gas pipeline project is divided into 8 first-class prevention and control areas and 12 second-class prevention and control areas.The first level prevention and control areas include: pipeline operation area,tunnel crossing area,river crossing area,highway crossing area,road engineering area,station valve chamber area,pipe stacking area and waste disposal area.(3)This paper analyzes and studies the layout principle and concept of soil and water conservation measures in 8 first-class prevention and control areas and 12 secondary prevention and control areas,and respectively carries out engineering measures,plant measures and temporary measures.The typical design of retaining wall,intercepting(drainage)ditch,masonry frame slope protection and planting belt slope protection are carried out.(4)Through the monitoring of soil and water conservation,the control degree of soil erosion,the control ratio of soil erosion,the protection rate of residue soil,the protection rate of surface soil,the recovery rate of forest and grass vegetation and the coverage rate of forest and grass have been improved year by year.It is estimated that by the design level year,all the six ecological benefit indexes can reach the target value,and the prevention and control objectives can be achieved.This paper puts forward a complete set of soil and water conservation protection system,such as engineering measures,plant measures and temporary measures,which are suitable for the construction of natural gas pipelines in eastern Guangdong.It has reference significance for other pipeline construction projects in southern China.
