Object:In order to increase the utilization rate of the excellent forage grass-Seriphidium on desert grassland under the dominant climate of Ziniquan breeding sheep farm,this study analyzed its distribution and yield characteristics.Improve the quality of Seriphidium forage by silage,yellow storage and the addition of stevia straw.Methods:In this experiment,seriphidium was taken as the main research object,and the distribution of seriphidium in the natural grassland near the sheep-breeding farm and the characteristics of grass yield were analyzed.The Seriphidium was divided into green period and yellow period.In the green period of Seriphidium,2%,5%,10%sucrose,10~4 cfu/kg,10~5 cfu/kg,10~6 cfu/kg lactic acid bacteria mixture and30%,40%,50%tomato pomace were added to ensilage of Seriphidium,the NDF,ADF,CP,Ph and the number of lactic acid bacteria and yeast were measured at the 0,7,15,30 and 60 days of silage.During the yellow period,Stevia Straw was added for yellow storage,of 0%,10%,20%,30%and the amount of cellulase was 20‰.The dry matter(DM),neutral detergent fiber(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF),soluble sugar and organic acid were determined at Day 0,day 15 and day 30.At the 30th day,the yellow stored sample was extracted with water for 24 hours,and the mice were tested for drinking water.Results:1.In August and October,Seriphidium reached two high-yield peaks,and the nutritional quality of Seriphidium was also good at the peak period,when the utilization rate of Seriphidium was very low,mainly because of the change of grazing in summer,and the bitter and volatile odor of Seriphidium reached a high accumulation in summer,resulting in the livestock do not feed or very little feed.In the dry and yellow period of autumn,Seriphidium had a high retention rate and less odor,but its crude fiber content was higher,so its utilization rate was still low,resulting in a waste of forage resources.2.The addition of sucrose,lactic acid bacteria mixture and tomato pomace could make the fermentation quality of Seriphidium reach a better level.The results showed that the addition of 2%sucrose could keep the PH value of the ensilage at a low level,ensure the fermentation environment,and preserve the nutritional quality of the plant.Adding lactic acid bacteria group,the 10~5 cfu/kg is best,too high lactic acid bacteria content of Seriphidium itself sugar is not enough to support fermentation,resulting in waste of lactic acid bacteria.The effect of adding tomato pomace to silage was the best.The acidity of silage(Ph was about 4.1)could be reduced by adding different proportions of pomace to the silage,and the nutritional quality of Seriphidium could be preserved completely,among them,40%tomato pomace was the best.3.The combination of Stevia Rebaudiana bertoni and cellulase can effectively preserve the nutrient quality of Seriphidium in the withered and yellow period,and achieve better fermentation effect.Cellulase could effectively reduce the content of NDF and ADF in Seriphidium during dry and yellow period,but cellulase had little effect on the fermentation quality of Seriphidium.Mice were more receptive to the extracts of Seriphidium stored with Stevia than those without Stevia,and male mice were more receptive to the extracts of Seriphidium stored with 20%stevia,the female rats showed a high tolerance to 20%and30%stevia added in Seriphidium.Therefore,Stevia can improve or influence the bad smell of Seriphidium in the dry and yellow period,and the best dosage is 20%stevia.Conclusion:the methods of silage,yellow silage and adding stevia straw can improve the nutritive quality of Seriphidium..
