Avian influenza is infectious disease which is threatening the poultry industry in the world.Avian influenza is usually protected by vaccine immunization.Chickens and waterfowl can produce good immune responses after injection with avian influenza inactivated vaccine.Due to the reform of poultry farming structure,Some precious birds can be artificial fed and used as a new poultry for people to choose. While enriching human diet,it also increases the chance of contact with rare birds and provides more ways for the spread of avian influenza virus. The immune protection of precious birds has gradually become an important part of the prevention and control of avian influenza. However, there are few studies on the safety and immune effect of vaccinating precious birds with avian influenza vaccine at domestic and foreign, and the immune effect is unsatisfactory. In this experiment, the New Bivalent Inactivated Vaccine of recombinant avian influenza virus(H5+H7)was used for immunization,as required by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2017.We immunized pheasant, guinea fowl,Peacocks and Ostrich in Australia by observation Closely. Each kind of rare poultry is divided into immunization group and control group.According to the national recommended immunization procedure, and combined with the actual situation, the first immunization of artificial rearing rare poultry of different ages is carried out,and the second immunization is carried out 21 days after the first immunization. On the 14 th,21st,28 th,35th,49 th,77th,105,133 rd,161st and189 th day after the first immunization,20 of the immunized group and 10 of the control group were tested for their antibodies by hemagglutination test and hemagglutination inhibition test.According to theresults in this study : No serious immune side effect was found after vaccination,Effective antibodies could be produced by H5 and H7 subtypes 14 days after the first immunization, but different kinds of rare birds had different effects after immunization.Among them, the immune validity of pheasant H5 subtype was up to 91 days, and that of H7 subtype was up to 175 days. The immune validity of H5 subtype and H7 subtype in Pearl chickens was 119 days and 147 days respectively. The immune validity of peacock H5 subtype was up to 119 days, and that of H7 subtype was up to 175 days. The immunization validity of Australian ostrich H5 subtype was up to 175 days, and that of H7 subtype was upto 175 days. The recombinant bivalent inactivated avian influenza vaccine(H5 + H7)is safe and effective for the four rare birds.
