Jingning county is located in the west of Longdong area,Gansu,as a central production area of high-quality apple in China.'Fuji' apple are the mian varieties in Jingning.Under the new situation for the promotion of industrial transformation and upgrading,quality and efficiency improvement,Jingning apples are also facing the problem of optimization and adjustment of the variety structure.In order to optimize the apple variety structure in Jingning and select new apple varieties suitable for local promotion and development,this study investigated the apple variety structure in Jingning County from 2016 to 2018 Preliminary observed the introduction performance of some new apple varieties and measured the fruit quality of some non-bagging varieties in Jingning apple breeding base of excellent varieties.The main results are documented as follows:1.Jingning currently has an apple cultivation area of 57,100 hectares,with an output of 688,000 tons,of which Fuji plantings cover an area of 52,900 hectares,accounting for 92.9%,and a 'Qinguan' cultivation area of 15,100 hectares,accounting for 2.6%,and other varieties account for At 4.5%,the problem of single cultivar structure is very prominent.In recent years,the cultivation area of the short-branch Fuji cultivar 'Chengji No.1' has expanded rapidly,and its economic benefits are significantly better than other cultivars.2.The trial planting of 13 varieties introduced in recent years found that the early-maturing variety 'America 8' has high hardness,moderate tree vigor,good fruit coloring,and good performance.The 'Huashuo' fruit has a large size and good early fruit yield;Among the medium-maturing varieties,the 'Honeycrip' fruit is large,the canopy is compact,the fruit flavor is strong,and the performance is good;Among the late-maturing varieties,'Ruixue' has strong trees,easy flower formation,and excellent fruit quality;'Ruiyang' has a moderate tree,easy to flower,good yield,big fruit,and beautiful color,The "Yanfu No.6",fruit-shaped high pile,good coloring of fruit surface,high hardness,good quality;The above 6 varieties have excellent comprehensive performance in Jingning and have good development prospects.3.The quality of fruit without bagging was preliminarily determined for the locally selected 'Chengji No.1' and 'Jingning No.1'.It was observed that the external quality of unbagged fruit of "chengji No.1" and "jingning No.1" decreased compared with bagged fruit,but the internal quality was better than bagged fruit.There was no significant difference between pesticide residue and bagged fruit,These two varieties can be promoted as non-bagging cultivable in Jingning county.4.About the optimization of Jingning apple variety structure,we should increase the promotion of series of new apple varieties,such as 'Ruixue','Ruiyang','Jingning No.1','Honeycrip','Huashuo' and so on.At the same time,it is necessary to accelerate the research and demonstration application of supporting cultivation techniques for new varieties.
