To fill the deficiency and provide more efficient data for Chinese Feed Database-Table of Composition and Nutritive Values,two experiment was conducted to to evaluated Ileal digestible nergy(IDE),metabolizable energy(ME)and N-corrects metabolizable energy(MEn)of rice and its byproducts or deferent oil using the regression method for broiler chickens,and established the regression equation.Experiment 1,Energy value of rice,broken rice,and rice bran for broiler chickens determined using the regression method.Birds were fed a standard starter diet from d 1 to 14 and experimental diets from d 14 to21 post hatching.A total of 336 birds were grouped by body weight into 7 diets,comprising8 replicates with 6 birds per replicate.The diets were comprised of a reference diet and 6 test diets.The test diets contained 2 levels each of rice,broken rice or rice bran that partly replaced the energy sources in the reference diet at 12 or 24%(rice and broken rice)or 15 or30%(rice bran).The result showed that addition of rice or broken rice to reference diet linearly increased(P<0.01)ileal digestibility of dry matter(DM),energy,as well as total tract metabolizability of DM,energy and N-corrected energy.Furthermore,the inclusion of rice bran in the test diets linearly decreased(P<0.01)energy digestibility and utilization.Regressions of rice,broken rice or rice bran-associated IDE,ME,or ME_n intake in kcal against rice,broken rice or rice bran intake were:IDE=Y=2(6)+3,185(73)×Rice+3,199(72)×Broken rice+2,562(61)×Rice bran,r~2=0.98;ME=Y=8(6)+3,103(72)×Rice+3,190(71)×Broken rice+2,709(60)×Rice bran,r~2=0.98;ME_n=Y=4(5)+3,014(68)×Rice+3,092(101)×Broken rice+2,624(57)×Rice bran,r~2=0.98.Experiment 2,Energy value of soybean oil,lard,phosphatide oil and mix oil for broiler chickens determined using the regression methodBirds were fed a standard starter diet from d 1 to 21 and experimental diets from d 21 to28 post hatching.A total of 576 birds were grouped by body weight into 9 diets,comprising8 replicates with 8 birds per replicate.The diets were comprised of a reference diet and 8 test diets.The test diets contained 2 levels each of soybean oil,lard,phosphatide oil and mix oil that partly replaced the energy sources in the reference diet at 4 and 8%.The result showed that addition of soybean oil to reference diet linearly increased(P<0.01)ileal digestibility of dry matter(DM),nitrogen and energy,as well as total tract metabolizability of DM,nitrogen,energy and N-corrected energy.Added lard in reference diet linearly increased(P<0.01)ileal digestibility of energy,but DM linearly decreased by addition;total tract metabolizability of N-corrected energy,ME and MEn linearly increased(P<0.01)by addition of lard to reference diet.Furthermore,the inclusion of phosphatide oil and mix oil in the test diets linearly increased(P<0.01)energy digestibility and utilization.Regressions of soybean oil,lard,phosphatide oil and mix oil-associated IDE,ME,or MEn intake in kcal against soybean oil,lard,phosphatide oil and mix oil intake were:ME=Y=33(11)+8,046(350)×Soybean oil+9,280(367)×Lard+9,536(363)×Phosphatide oil+12,148(365)×Mix oil,r~2=0.951;MEn=Y=24(10)+7,848(329)×Soybean oil+8,981(345)×Lard+9,137(342)×Phosphatide oil+11,890(343)×Mix oil,r~2=0.954;IDE=Y=105(22)+9,884(740)×Soybean oil+9,810(776)×Lard+10,009(768)×Phosphatide oil+10,573(771)×Mix oil,r2=0.811.Conclusion:The IDE,ME,and MEn values(kcal/kg DM)for rice were 3,185,3,103 and3,014,respectively;for broken rice were 3,199,3,190 and 3,092;for rice bran were 2,562,2,709,and 2,624;for soybean oil were 9,884,8,046 and 7,848;for lard were 9,810,9,280and 8,981;for phosphatide oil were 10,009,9,536 and 9,137;and for mix oil were10,573,12,148 and 11,890,respectively.
