Brassica napus is the main oil crop, and it can also be used as fodder, vegetables, green manure, ornamental and honey source crops.Rape is one of the best crops for the combination of the first, second and third industries, and it is also closely integrated with the storage of grain in the soil, agriculture and animal husbandry, and the construction of beautiful villages. The policy of "two reduction" which means to reduce the dose of fertilizer and pesticides are carrying out in China, and now Brassica napus is often crushed and turned into soil as green manure after planting in fallow fields in autumn and winter. This paper investigates whether Brassica napus affects the subsequent crops as green manure in addition to increasing soil fertility. The experiment of germination and soil culture experiments were applied in this paper.Five crops were selected to study, they were corn, sorghum, oat, sunflower and Brassica napus.Effects of Brassica napus on the seed germination and seedling growth of five receptor plants were measured,as well as the physiological and biochemical properties of seedlings(MDA,POD,SOD,CAT)and nutrients(protein and proline),were determined too.The research results are as follows:1.Effect of Brassica napus extract on seed germination on five crops. The germination rate of Brassica napus reduced significantly in medium(0.05 mg/kg)and high(0.1mg/kg)concentrations of Brassica napus extract, and there was no significant effect on the germination rate on the other four crop seeds. The germination potential of sorghum seeds increased and the germination potential of Brassica napus reduced significantly in high(0.1 mg/kg)concentration of Brassica napus extract. There was no significant effect on the germination potential of other three crop seeds.2.The root length of sunflower,Brassica napus L.,and oat were inhibited by Brassica napus extract, but the root of sorghum and corn was promoted significantly at the concentrations(0.025 mg/kg and 0.05 mg/kg)of Brassica napus extract. The effect on stems of tested crops showed"promotion at low concentration and inhibition at high concentration".There was the most obvious effect on the growth of sorghum and corn stalks at the low concentration, and stem of sorghum increasing 178.96%and stem of sorghum increased 26.23%respectively.3.The Brassica napus extract was beneficial to the protein accumulation on sunflower, oats, sorghum and corn, and it showed "promotion at low concentration and inhibition at high concentration" to the protein content of corn. However, there was no significant effect on protein content of Brassica napus.Proline content of sorghum,Brassica napus and corn increased after adding Brassica napus extract, and the effect was positively related to the Brassica napus extract concertration.Proline content of sunflower and oat were lower than that of control after adding Brassica napus extract.Proline content of oat was not different from that of the control significantly. But proline content of sunflower was lower than that of the control significantly, and the effect was negatively related to the Brassica napus extract concentration.4.The activities of three defense enzymes in sunflower and sorghum increased after adding Brassica napus extract, and there was the most obvious promotion on three defense enzymes of sorghum. The activities of three defense enzymes of Brassica napus and oats were inhibited by Brassica napus extract. The activities of three defense enzymes of corn was higher than that of the control at high concentration of Brassica napus extract. The effects on content of malondialdehyde in five plants were different greatly in different concentrations of Brassica napus extracts. There was not significantly different from the content of malondialdehyde and that of the control in oats, while the content of malondialdehyde in sorghum increased significantly compared with the controThe content of malondialdehyde in corn decreased after the treatment of Brassica napus extract in different concentrations significantly. The contents of malondialdehyde in sunflower and Brassica napus increased after adding Brassica napus extract, and the content of malondialdehyde increased significantly compared with that of the control in 0.1mg/kg of Brassica napus extract.
