Analysis Of Productive And Reproductive Characters And Comparison Of Behavioral Characteristics Between Non-polled And Polled Anhui White Goats

As an excellent local breed,Anhui white goat is deeply loved by people in Anhui Province.However,in the process of feeding,it was found that there were some polled Anhui white goats.The purpose of this study was to analyze whether there were differences in growth and development,reproductive performance and behavior in production management between polled and non-polled Anhui white goats,and to provide theoretical basis for practical production.In the experiment,polled and non-polled Anhui white goats were selected as the research objects to analyze the differences in growth,reproduction and behavioral characteristics.The body weight and body size of the growth traits were measured by measuring tools;the lambing condition of the test sheep was recorded by the reproductive traits of the ewe;the semen quality of the ram was measured by the reproductive traits of the ram;the behavioral traits were observed by the moving and standing time,resting time,feeding time,drinking water frequency,fighting frequency,angle grinding(impact fence)frequency and bite fence frequency of the goat.At the age of 6 and 10 months,the body weight of polled Anhui white goats was significantly higher than that of non-polled Anhui white goats(P < 0.05).At the age of 6 and 12 months,the body weight of polled Anhui white goats was significantly higher than that of non-polled Anhui white goats(P < 0.05).From the beginning of birth,with the increase of age,the average absolute monthly growth value gradually decreased;the ejaculation amount and sperm density of non-polled Anhui white goats were significantly higher than that of polled Anhui white goats(P < 0.05),the survival rate of lambs of non-polled Anhui white goats was 88.32%,that of polled Anhui white goats was 86.91%;The resting time of polled Anhui white goats was significantly longer than that of the non-polled Anhui white goat(P < 0.05),and the frequency of fighting and grinding angle(impact fence)of the non-polled Anhui white goat was significantly higher than that of the polled Anhui white goat(P < 0.05).The results are as follows:(1)the fattening effect of polled Anhui white goat is better than that of non-polled Anhui white goat.(2)The reproductive performance of Anhui white goat,non-polled Anhui white goats is better than polled Anhui white goats.(3)polled Anhui white goats is more suitable for raising and management than non-polled Anhui white goat.
