Dwarf lilyturf,Ophiopogon japonicas,is a kind of perennial evergreen herb.In recent years,it has been more and more widely used as a lawn in greening.However,the occurrence and harm of weeds in lawn are increasing year by year.If the weeds in lawn,especially the perennial weeds,can not be controlled in time,the ornamental of lawn will be affected,even will be covered by weeds.There are few researches on weeds in O.japonicus lawn.therefore,the weed species in O.japonicus lawn were investigates in the urban area of Yangzhou,the safety of 36 herbicides on O.japonicuslawn was evaluated after spraying,the herbicides was screened to control weed in turf of O.japonicas with the field experiments.The detailed results are as follows:(1)The result of the investigation of weeds in O.japonicus lawn showed that there were a total of 134 weed species,which belong to 37 families,including 115 weeds growing in summer and autumn,84 weeds growing in winter and spring.There was the most weed spicies in Poaceae and Compositae,accounting for 17.16%and 14.18%of the total weeds respectively.There were the dominant weeds including Erigeron annuus(L.)Pers.,Digitaria sanguinalis(L.),Galium aparine L.var.tenerum(Gren.et Godr.)Reichb,Cayratia japonica(Thunb.)Gagnep.,Kyllinga brevifolia Rottb.Youngia japonica,Cerastium glomeratum Thuill.,Oxalis corniculata L.Malachium aquaticum in the dwarf lilyturf lawn.Among them,the serious harmful weed was involving Youngia japonica,Erigeron annuus(L.)Pers.,Zoysia japonica in the lawn in campus,and Erigeron annuus(L.)Pers.,Digitaria sanguinalis and Kyllinga brevifolia Rottb.in the roadside,and Erigeron annuus(L.)Pers.,Youngia japonica,Digitaria sanguinalis and Oxalis corniculata L.in the park.(2)The results of safety evaluation of 36 herbicides on dwarf lilyturf showed that triclopyr and glyphosate caused serious damage to O.japonicus,which was not safe for O.japonicas,the leaves of dwarf lulyturf showed obvious yellowing symptoms after application of bensulfuron-methyl,ethoxysulfuron and acetochlor respectively,and the safety of these herbicides was poor,carfentrazone-ethyl,nicosulfuron atrazine,mesotrione bromoxynil octanoate atrazine and flucarbazone-Na in the high dose in this test on O.japonicas as well.The other 27 herbicides,such as pendimethalin,glyphosate,fluroxypyr,MCPA-Na,and so on,were safety on O.japonicas in test.(3)The results of soil treatment using herbicides showed that the control effect of 80%oxadiargyl wettable powder(8 g/667 m2)on total weeds in the turf of O.japonicus was the best among 5 herbicides at 30 days after application,the efficacy in plant and in weight was 94.26%and 92.43%,respectively,The efficacy of oxadiargyl on gramineous weeds,broad-leaved weeds and cyperaceae weeds was better than other herbicides.The effect of metolachlor and dimethylpentyl on grass weeds was higher than that of broadleaf weeds and sedge.(4)The results of field experiment on the control of Zoysia matrella(L.)Merr.in the turf of O.japonicas showed that the efficacy of 10%quizalofop-p-ethyl 45 ml/667m2 plus 41%glyphosate 150 ml/667m2 was the best among 6 treatments.At 30 days after second application,that was 97.01%,which was significantly better than that of others.The demonstration results show that the control effect of the combination of 10%quizalofop-p-ethy 80 ml/667m2 and 41%glyphosate 200 ml/667m2 was 87.41%at 30 days after treatment.Therefore,the mixture of quizaloform and glyphosate was recommended to control Z matrella in the O.japonicus lawn.(5)The experiment results of six herbicides on Alternanthera philoxeroides in O.japonicus lawn showed that efficacy of 20%fluroxypyr 60 ml/667m2 was the best,which closed to 100%at 30 days after application,and that was still above 90%at 45 days afte treatment.The mixture formulation of fluroxypy and glyphosate had a good control effect on A.philoxeroides in turf of dwarf lilyturf.The demonstration results showed that the efficacy in plant and weight of 20%fluroxypyr EC 60 ml/667m2 was 95.72%and 99.87%respectively at 30 days after first application,and that was 100%at 30 days after first application.So,fluroxypy could be used to control A.philoxeroides in the turf of O.japonicas.
