Strawberry is an important cash crop,and its cultivation area and yield of strawberry in China are the first in the world.There are 24 species of strawberry plants in the world,while only the octoploid bromeliad strawberry is widely cultivated in modern times,and others are wild or semi-wild.In the process of cultivation and breeding of strawberry,some good traits gradually got lost resulting in some problems in the cultivation of strawberry,such as diseases,short shelf life,poor taste quality and long seed breeding period.Germplasm resources are rich in genetic diversity,which is an important guarantee for strawberry breeding with high resistance and quality.In order to make more effective use of these germplasm resources and screen out parents with excellent genetic traits,this study collected 19wild strawberry species and compared them with phenotypic traits,physiological characteristics and fruit quality.Meanwhile,a couple of important problems in strawberry transplanting,seed germination and propagation were studied as well.Results are as follows:1.BMS088 and BMS090 grew well and were superior to other varieties in plant height and crown diameter.The phenotype of BMS103 was special,with yellow flowers,round fruits,and seeds protruding above the fruit surface.The fruit of BMS102 was white while other varieties were red.Fruits of BMS098 was larger with higher contents of glucose,galactose,fructose,xylose,citric acid and quinic acid but lower contents of malic acid.Some varieties had higher amino acid content,such as BMS098,BMS096,BMS086,BMS090 and BMS102 with higher contents of serine,aspartic acid and threonine.2.Radifarm had better effects in 15 days than later stage especially on the promotion of root growth,suggesting a specialized function of Radifarm which may significantly alleviate the transplanting shock and increase the survival rate after transplanting in the field.Effects of both Acadian products and ScanPro are more concentrated on the promotion of aboveground tissue growth and exhibited more obvious at later stage.The chemical fertilizer Root Feed II had negative effects on both aboveground and underground tissue growth after the transplanting,suggesting that transplanting remarkably attenuate the root ability of water and nutrient absorption and application of chemical fertilizer further increases the load of root ability.3.Hormones played an important role in seed germination and leaf regeneration.The germination rate of strawberry seeds treated with 200ppm GA3 for 48h was the highest,about 73.33%.In the regeneration process of strawberry leaves,the effect of TDZ was obviously better than that of ZT.The highest number of callus was observed at around 85%when TDZ was 0.5-1mg/L and IBA was 0.3mg/L.
