Garlic is the underground bulb of the genus Allium of Liliaceae, which has rich nutritional value and is a famous dual-use food and medicine plant. In order to create and maintain the growth and development environment of garlic and increase the bulb yield, mulching technology is widely used in garlic cultivation, but the long-term use of common mulching has also caused serious negative effects.Residual mulching has greatly damaged the farmland ecosystem in china. Therefore, the development of degradable plastic film provides an effective way to solve these problems. In this experiment, six different biodegradable membranes(S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,S6),common plastic film PE control and uncoated nude control CK 8 treatments were set up to study the biodegradable membrane degradation effect, garlic growth status, soil microbial environment and so on.With a view to providing a reference for garlic mulching production. The test results are as follows:1.Before the garlic harvest, the 6 kinds of biodegradable membranes ruptured in different degrees with time, and the ordinary plastic film had no cracking phenomenon when the garlic was harvested. After the film was embedded in the soil, all 6 biodegradable membranes were completely degraded within 100 days, while the ordinary plastic film showed no signs of degradation.2.In the early stage of garlic growth, seedling stage, green stage and garlic elongation stage, the soil temperature of biodegradable film mulching treatment was significantly higher than that of non-coated film CK,and there was no significant difference with ordinary film.3.The stem thickness, plant height and leaf number of garlic strain were significantly higher than that of non-coated CK under biodegradable film treatment in seedling stage, green stage and moss stage.Compared with CK,the degradation membrane coverage had no significant effect on root activity of garlic seedlings at each growing stage,it was higher than that of ordinary mulch, but did not reach significant level. The content of chlorophyll andcarotenoid in the leaves of garlic was increased in different degree by the six kinds of biodegradable membranes. On average, the content of ordinary plastic film was the highest, the biodegradable film was the second, the treatment of non-coated film was the lowest. The difference of pigment content between ordinary plastic film and biodegradable film treatment was not significant.4.The circumference, height and diameter of garlic bulb increased after the biodegradation membrane was covered, but the effect was not obvious, the bulb yield was significantly higher than that of CK in bare ground, reaching extremely significant levels, the average yield of degradation membrane was 66.97% higher than that of CK,but the difference with ordinary plastic film was not significant. After the biodegradation membrane was covered, the content of free amino acids, soluble sugar, soluble protein and allicin in garlic bulb was higher than that in the non-coated control treatment, and the Vc content showed no significant difference compared with the control.5.Compared with the control, the content of urease in soil was reduced by the biodegradation membrane, which had no effect on soil phosphatase and sucrose enzyme, and increased the content of soil dehydrogenase. The biodegradation membrane cover in seedling stage increased the bacterial, actinomycetes and fungal contents in the soil, but did not reach a significant level.in the bulb expansion stage, the number of bacteria and actinomycetes showed a significant increase, and there was no significant difference in the number of fungi.6.The soil available phosphorus content increased and nitrate nitrogen content decreased under the mulching of biodegradable membrane. The contents of quick-effect phosphorus, available potassium, ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen decreased after bulb expansion. After biodegradable membrane degradation, there was no significant difference in the nutrient elements in the soil compared with the control.
