Piglets have low immunity in the whole growth cycle, then Environmental factors is the main causesf or death of piglets. In order to reduce the morbidity and mortality risk of piglets and reduce economic losses,We studied the effects of NH3 on growth performance, immune index and behavior of piglets,To provide reference for breeders,The details are as follows:Effect of NH3 on Growth Performance of Piglets.Forty healthy weaned piglets were selected with weight of 15+1kg and age of 21 days and randomly divided into two groups with20 heads in each group,They were put into the experimental pigsty and the control pigsty respectively,There were four hurdles in pigsty which had five heads piglets per hurdle.Piglets were managed by the same breeder,Temperature, air humidity, the fodder and drinking water supply for the two houses are the same. The building conditions of the two houses are the same,Temperature is controlled at 20-26?,and humidity is controlled at 50-75%.The duration of the experiment was 40 days. The concentration of NH3 in experimental piggery was artificially controlled in 2050mg/kg on the basis of piggery environment.Effects of NH3 on Growth Performance of Piglets,The test results showed that,NH3 concentration at 20-50mg/kg,There were significant differences in total and average daily gain between the two houses?P<0.05?,and there were significant differences in feed-Weight ratio.Heart rate of piglets in experimemtal pigsty was higher than that of piglets in control pigsty,The difference was shorter with the prolongation of experimental time. The feed-Weight ratio of piglets increased by 0.363,and the average daily gain decreased by 0.0618 kg.Effect of NH3 on Immune Indicators of Piglets.Immune indext of piglets were measured by ELISA.The test results showed that,NH3 concentration at 20-50 mg/kg,There was no significant difference in immune indexes between the two piglets?P>0.05?,The immune indexes of piglets in experimental piggery were lower than those of piglets in control piggery.Effect of NH3 on Piglet Behavior. The piglet behavior was monitored in real time by far-infrared detector. The piglet behavior was analyzed. The test results showed that,NH3concentration at 20-50mg/kg,Piglets avoidance, routing and social behavior changed significantly beteewn control piggery and test piggery?P<0.05?,There was no significant difference in the ratio of abnormal intake and drinking water to lying time on 1 day and 40 day?P>0.05?,but significant difference on 10 day,20 day and 30 day?P<0.05?,Avoidance behavior of piglets decreased significantly with time, reaching 13.5029.00minutes per day;The social behavior of piglets increased in the later stage of experiment.
