Feline infectious peritonitis(FIP)is a disease caused by a type of corona virus that can affect cats of all periods, but most prevalent among cats below the age of three and especially between 3 and 16 months old.FIP occurs commonly in catteries(pedigreed cats),shelters, kitten foster/rescue facilities and dense free-roaming colonies. As a typical regional infection, the incidence of FIP can varies widely over time.Cat mortality is usually extremely high once clinical symptoms occur, but some cats may suffer from the disease for weeks, months or even years.Based on 85 cases of wet feline infectious peritonit is(FIP)diagnosed and treated in 9 pet hospitals in Dalian from January 2018 to December 2018,the clinical investigation and case analysis were carried out,and the corresponding prevention and treatment measures were put forward according to the actual investigation results.Firstly, this study investigated the incidence of wet infectious peritonitis of sick cats from nine pet hospitals in Dalian, including cats from families, catteries, pet markets, pet stores and stray cats. The results were diagnosed by complete blood counts(CBCs),serum biochemical examination,DR imaging, ultrasonic examination and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-P CR).The factors of onset time, feeding methods, temperature, age, sex, breed, immune and stresses were analyzed. The factors of onset time, feeding method s,temperature, age, sex, breed, immune and stresses were analyzed. The result showe d that high incidence of FIP usually occurs in May(8.99%)and July(12.24%).The highest incidence of wet FIP daily average temperature is 2? in July; The incidence of multi-cat household rearing was the highest among the r earing methods, which Incidence of wet FIP was the highest in Dalian(9.09%).Among all the surveys, the morbidity of 0-3 months old,4-6 months old and7-11 months old stayed a high level, which was 10.68%,9.52% and 8.37%,respectively.The incidence of wet FIP was 9.25% in males,10.45% in British Shorthair cats and 10.11% in American shorthair cats. The morbidity was inves tigated in both the immune group and non immune group. The incidence was 7.69% and 7.85%,respectively.And there was no diversity between the two groups.More than half of the cats(60.56%)had varying degrees of stresses on the eve of onset.Secondly, two typical cases of wet FIP were analyzed in this experiment. The sick cats showed different degrees of vomiting, anorexia, wasting, depression, jaundice or yellow staining.Patients were assessed by blood count, serum biochemistry,DR imaging and ultrasound.Antiviral,anti-inflammatory and placebo therapy were used to treat the diseaseand have achieved good results.
