In this study,Populus.thevestina×P.nigra?baicheng? was selected by crossbreeding P.nigra L.var.thevestina(Dode)Bean.and P.nigra.Regional trials were carried out,and five poplar varieties comparative experimental forests were established in arid areas such as Jilin Province and Inner Mongolia.On the basis of the seedling stage test,afforestation experiments were carried out and the tree growth indicators were counted.Through years of observations and analysis,the following conclusions can be drawn:1.Arrow Black Poplar takes the Populus nigra var.thevestina(Dode)Bean of Xi'an as the female parent,and uses the European black poplar of Altay in Xinjiang as the male parent to carry out the intraspecific hybrid breeding experiment of European black poplar.After years of repeated trials,observations and screening of its hybrid offspring.After that,a new poplar variety was successfully selected.2.The phenological period of the arrow black poplar is similar to that of the introduced black poplar series.The growth period is long,and the germination period is relatively early,and the capping period is later.The germination period is April 20,the leaf extension period is May 5,and the capping period is September 28.3.Through the observation of the growth of the black poplar seedlings,the survey of Populus euphratica on the three experimental sites,such as Siping,Baicheng and Wulanhaote,has the highest preservation rate(the return rate of arrow black in 2009 is 91.7%,94.4%,respectively).And 97.2%;2010 retention rates of 88.9%,94.4%,and 97.2%),from which it can be inferred that the arrow black poplar showed good drought resistance in these drought test sites.4,the arrow black poplar saplings,in the extreme cold conditions of the white city-37.9 ° C under the cold conditions did not occur shoots and sunburn.At the same time,through the survey of poplars in the three experimental sites of Siping,Baicheng and Wulanhaote in 2009 and 2010,there was no freezing damage in the black poplar.5.According to the survey of mature forests,the average DBH,average tree height and individual plant volume of arrow black poplar were significantly higher than that of the control variety Baicheng Xiaohe.6.Through regionalization experiments,it was found that the black poplar showed drought tolerance,cold tolerance,fast growth and resistance to pests and diseases under different soil conditions such as light loam,sandy loam and meadow soil.Moreover,through comprehensive evaluation and analysis,it can be seen that all aspects of the performance of arrow black poplar are the best.Therefore,Arrow Black Poplar is suitable for the cultivation and promotion of timber forests,shelterbelts and “four sides” in the central and western regions of Jilin Province and the sand,meadow soil,chernoze and black soil in its adjacent areas.New black poplar series.
