Abstract/Summary:
In He Ze city, poplar is the main fast-growing and timber tree for building the farmland shelter-belt network,the fast-growing and high-yield plantation. Over the past 80's, the extending of poplar new species in He Ze City had got big achievement. However, their survival rate of forestation were too low that it is so difficult to applicate in large area. Forestation by using single specie to by single specie may easy to cause much abuse such as pest prevention and cure ability decline and biodiversity decline.Be aimed at the actuality, this study took 8 poplar clone which from Chinese academy of forestry and Nanjing Forest University as material, Zhonglin NO.46 for the comparison, develop seedling test and afforestation test. By afforestation test in several pot, the clone Zhonghe NO.lwas selected as the suited species for He Ze city. The main result was as follow:1. During seedling stage, Zhonghe NO.l, NO.105. and NO.106 had powerful ability of wind-resistance and drought tolerance than Zhonglin NO.46.Such disease as poplar Aegeria Fabricius, Cerambycidae,canker and rot were not found.2.From the effect of different clone, different type of land form and different season, the forestation survival rate of poplar NO. 105 was the highest. The forestation survival rate of Zhonghe NO. 1 was the second,it is higher than Zhonglin NO.46 and NO. 106.The forestation survival rate of other clones were lower.3. Studying from the growth course of high,diameter at breast height and volume ,we can find that the three and four years' current annual increment of diameter at breast height of poplar NO. 105, NO. 106 and Zhonghe NO. 1 were larger than comparision Zhonglin NO.46; the three and four years" current annual increment of height of poplar NO.105, and NO.106 were larger than comparision Zhonglin NO.46; the four years' current annual increment of height of poplar Zhonghe NO.1 were larger than comparision Zhonglin NO.46; the one to four years' current annual increment of volume of poplar Zhonghe NO.1 were all larger than comparision Zhonglin NO.46,and the four years' current annual increment of volume of poplar NO.105 were larger than comparision Zhonglin NO.46, the three and four years' current annual increment of volume of poplar NO. 106 were larger than comparision Zhonglin NO.46.3.In this three different site condition, the growth increment of Zhonghe NO. 1 is the larger.The average diameter at breast height, tree height and single volume were 18.4cm, 11,9m,0.1616 m~3.The growth increment of average diameter at breast height, tree height and single volume of poplar Zhonglin NO.46 were 16.0cm,11.9m,0.1237 m~3.The The growth increment of average diameter at breast height and single volume of Zhonghe NO. 1 were respectively 15 percent and 30.6 percent larger than poplar Zhonglin NO.46.There were or super remarkable difference between Zhonghe NO. 1 and Zhonglin NO.46 on diameter at breast height and single volume.But the difference between Zhonghe NO.1 and Zhonglin NO.46 on tree height was not remarkable.8.The phenophase of Zhonghe NO. 1 is long.Its gross increment is large. Its yield is high and it is the ideal variety to build the fast-growing and high-yield timber forests.It is fit to cultivate large dimension timber. So, It can be extended poplar Zhonghe NO. 1 in Huanghai plain area.
