Wheat stripe rust,is an airborne fungal disease caused by Puccinia striiformis West.f.sp.tritici,and it infests the wheat stalks and stems which is the main metabolic source of wheat.Therefore,the disease seriously affects the safe production of wheat in China and poses a greater threat to the yield of wheat in China.For a long time,breeding resistant materials is the most economical and effective measure to prevent stripe rust.However,due to the coevolution between wheat and stripe rust,the past wheat resistant varieties have lost its resistance to the current races of stripe rust.In addition,due to excessive dependence on several cultivars in the most wheat growing areas for a long time,the main cultivars in China are facing the risk of being unable to resist the epidemic of wheat stripe rust.Therefore,it is important to identify wheat materials with excellent resistance to current races.The application of new resistant materials in wheat breeding is a key to prevent the prevalence of wheat stripe rust.With the development of molecular marker technology,molecular marker-assisted selection(MAS)has gradually become an effective tool for breeding.comparing with traditional breeding,MAS can accelerate breeding process and improve the accuracy and reliability of breeding work.In this study,1060 wheat lines or varieties from 16 provinces and regions in China were tested stripe rust resistance in Gansu and Shaanxi across two years,seven stripe rust resistance genes were detected based on Yr gene linked molecular markers using the high-throughput test system among these 1060 materials.The results showed:1.In the wheat seedling stage,266(25%)materials were resistant to CYR32 and V26/CH42,and 281(26%)materials were susceptible to CYR32 and V26/CH42.Among these,186(18%)showed resistance only to CYR32 s,327(31%)showed resistance only to V26/CH42.2.Combining with the results of wheat seedling identification and adult stage identification,these materials were separated into several types: 589 materials(56%)were resistance;471(44%)materials were susceptible.3.According to molecular marker detection,142 materials carry Yr7 gene,129 materials carry Yr9 gene,33 materials carry Yr18 gene,79 materials carry Yr26 gene,and 189 materials carry YrSp gene;among them,311 materials carry a single Yr gene,99 materials carry two Yr genes,and 23 materials carry at least three disease Yr genes;4.Based on the correlation analysis of wheat disease resistance and its source,wheat materials from Gansu and Sichuan have excellent disease resistance,whereas those from Heilongjiang and Beijing have comparative higher disease susceptibility;...
