Screening Of Regenerative Rice Varieties And Analysis Of Their Characters In Southern Hunan

In order to screen the ratooning rice varieties suitable for planting in southern Hunan region,23 rice varieties were collected from several seed companies in the province in 2016 to carry out the "first-season rice + ratooning rice" comparison test in Lengshuitan of southern Hunan.Through observation and comprehensive analysis of growth period,seed setting rate,yield of two seasons,quality of rice,disease resistance and regeneration ability,the following conclusions were obtained.1.There was a significant difference in the total yield of the first season and the regeneration season of 23 test varieties.The yield of 6 varieties in first season was lower than that of the control Huanghuazhan,and the decrease ranged from 1.0% to 15.1%.The yield of 12 varieties was higher than that of the control,and the top 10 varieties of increase ranged from 16.1% to 32.9%.The yield of 9 varieties in ratooning was higher than that of the control,and increase ranged from 17.6% to 49.6%.The top 10 varieties of yield in the two seasons were Longliangyou Huazhan,Yliangyou 9918,Cliangyou 266,Longliangyou 981,Shenliangyou 813,Cliangyou 34156,Yliangyou No.7,Huiliangyou 898,Cliangyou 651,Yliangyou 828,which increases production by 13.1%-29.5%.From the comprehensive consideration of growth period,yield,rice quality,and adaptability,Yliangyou 9918,Zhunliangyou 608,Huanghuazhan,Longliangyou Huazhan,Shenliangyou 5814,Huiliangyou 898,Yongyou 4149,Cliangyou 34156,Taiyou 390,Liangyou 336 are the main varieties of renewable rice in southern Hunan.2.All the tested varieties have the ability to regenerate,and all the varieties planted in southern Hunan can have full heading before the middle of September.Therefore,whether the tested varieties could be used as the regenerative rice in southern Hunan is mainly determined by the yield and seed setting rate.However,the main varieties suitable for planting "first season rice + ratooning rice" in southern Hunan should be considered comprehensively in terms of growth period,yield of first season,yield of ratooning rice,total yield of two seasons,disease resistance and rice quality.
