| Old cannine always suffer from myxomatous mitral valve disease,such as pomeranian,small poodle,chihuahua,pekingnese.This disease’clinical symptoms are cough,difficulty breathing,pant,and syncope.Different degrees cardiac souffle can be heard through stethoscope.The most accurate diagnostic method is echocardiography.The cubage of heart’s all chambers,the thickness of the left ventricular posterior wall and interventricular septum,regurgitate flow and every valvular changes especially mitral valve can be observed directly by echocardiography.This study is using 19 dogs which are suffering from exercise intolerance,pant after exercise,cyanosis,morning and nightly cough.All of them had degree Ⅰ-Ⅵ cardiac souffles.This study contains the sick dogs’ age,clinical symptoms,cardiac souffles,echocardiography results,and part of the sick dogs’ treatment.The animals of this study were 5 to 13 years old,their clinical symptoms are exercise intolerance,pant after exercise,difficulty breathing,cyanosis,morning and nightly cough.One of them had DegreeⅠcardiac souffles,two of them had Degree Ⅱcardiac souffles,three of them had DegreeⅢcardiac souffles,three of them had Degree Ⅳcardiac souffles,six of them had Degree Ⅴcardiac souffles,four of them had Degree Ⅵcardiac souffles.Through echocardiography,mitral valve prolapse and regurgitate flow could be found.Through echocardiography,14 of the sick dogs had enlarge left ventricle and left atrium,3 of them had the whole enlarge heart chambers.Using the ACVIM system,2 of the sick dogs were degree B2,14 of them were degree C1,2 of them were degree C2,1 of them were degree D2.From the above data,we can make a diagnosis and treatment plan that contains pimobendan,diuretic and ACEI.5 of the sick dogs had fewer symptoms after accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.14 of the sick dogs didn’t take medicine.10 of them died.2degree B1 dogs were lived,2 degree C1 were lived but still had very serious symptom.Through this study,myxomatous mitral valve disease can be diagnosed accurately byclinical check and echocardiography.Myxomatous mitral valve disease’s effective treatment contains pimobendan,diuretic and ACEI. |
