Screen Of Hydroponics Varieties And Nutrient Solution Formulas In Sweet Potato And The Comparative Study On Hydroponic And Soil Cultivation

In order to select the suitable nutrient solution formulas for sweet potato hydroponic,this paper used four sweet potato varieties such as 47129 as test materials to compare the performances of the breeds under Japanese garden and other five nutrient solution formulas,and to research the differences of sweet potato economic characters and nutrition indexes under hydroponic and soil cultivation,systematically.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Hoagland nutrient solution formula was suitable for hydroponic cultivation of sweet potato for vegetable use.Under the hydroponic cultivation of such formula,the root fresh weight,biggest root length,root activity of sweet potato all were highest,shoot tip yield,protein and soluble sugar content were better than other test nutrient solution formulas’.(2)Among the 4 tested sweet potato varieties,Xiangcaishu 2 and 47129 had the better performances in root fresh weight,biggest root length,root vitality,shoot tip yield and soluble sugar than other test varieties;So,the two breeds were more suitable for the hydroponic cultivation.(3)Compared with the traditional soil cultivation,sweet potato’s shoot tips,internode distance and water content increased,under hydroponics,stem diameter and branch number reduced;Shoot tip yield,soluble sugar content in leaves,nitrate content increased by about15.38%,14.00% and 13.27%,respectively;And they were all significantly different from the soil cultivation’s.
