Ornamental plants are plants that have ornamental value, can beautify the environment and enrich people’s lives. At present, the landscaping plants in various places tend to choose common ornamental plants, but the application of wild native plants is less, resulting in the lack of local characteristics of the garden landscape. There are abundant wild plant resources in the central Guizhou, but there are not many species developed and utilized. In this paper, through the field investigation and data compilation of wild plant resources in central Guizhou,a reasonable comprehensive evaluation system was established, and the excellent wild ornamental plant species were selected by qualitative and quantitative methods, and the development and application of garden plants in the central Guizhou region were provided.Basic reference material. The main results are as follows:(1)The species of wild ornamental plants are diverse, with a total of 570 species of 136 families and 316 genera.Among them, there are fewer ferns and gymnosperms, and there are 539 angiosperms. The life style is mostly shrubs and the vines are the least. The dominant families(>10 species)have 13 families, and the dominant genus(>5 species)has 14 genera.More than 80% of the species can be distributed in multiple regions, and the species similarity in each distribution region is higher. In the vertical distribution, there is an "intermediate expansion type" altitude distribution trend, the number of species reaches a peak at 1100-1200 m,and the number of species distributed at multiple altitudes reaches 95.26%,and the adaptability is wider. In general, the geographical regions of ornamental plants in the study area are characterized by the transition from temperate nature to tropical nature and biased towards tropical nature.(2)Among the six ornamental types, the foliage plants and flower-viewing plants were the most, the number of stem plants was the least, and there were 70 aromatic plants. There are 13 types of garden use. There are large overlaps among tree species in solitary trees, shade trees and street trees.Among them, there are fewer street trees, only 50 species;the number of flowering shrubs and potted plants and modeling species is particularly prominent. There are nearly 200 kinds of protection;there are 99 kinds of protections with functions of soil and water conservation and anti-pollution,16 kinds of wetland applications that can adapt to different wetland environments, and 36 kinds of cut flowers that can be used as flower arrangement materials.(3)It has strong adaptability to environmental factors, and has more than 100 kinds of coldtolerant,drought-tolerant,water-resistant,positive,shade-tolerant,acid soil plants, and less alkaline plant species, only 30 species, resistant to air pollutants. There are 65 kinds of plants, among which 54 kinds have strong resistance to the main air pollutants, sulfur dioxide. In actual garden application, they can be combined with plant characteristics and actual environmental conditions.(4)Through the comprehensive evaluation and classification of wild ornamental plants in the central Guizhou,38 species of Grade I wild ornamental plants can be vigorously developed and utilized,459 species of wild ornamental plants of Grade II,41 species of Grade III,and 32 species of Grade IV.Among the Class I ornamental plants, nearly half of the shrubs have various types of ornamentals, mainly flower viewing and foliage.(5)Using cluster analysis to classify Grade I ornamental plants into four groups, the first group includes 12 species such as Cercis chinensis, the main features are strong ornamental value, resource potential and environmental adaptability; The second group includes seven species such as Ligustrum lucidum f.lucidum, which has strong environmental adaptability. The third group includes five species such as Anemone hupehensis, which have greater resource potential. The fourth group includes 14 species such as Pterolobium punctatum, which are of high ornamental value. |
