The silkworm industry is a traditional advantage industry of our country,it plays an important role in the global silkworm production and has greatly promoted the development of rural areas and agriculture in China.At present,the silkworm industry is considered to be a sunset industry,gradually shrinking and declining in the modern society.As a subsidiary product of the silkworm industry,mulberry has not attracted much attention from people,however,after the rich nutritional value of mulberry fruit was discovered,people begin to gradually upgrade the silkworm industry to the mulberry industry.As the important base for mulberry planting in Sichuan Province and even the whole country,Dechang County's mulberry industry has developed very rapidly in recent years,making the county win the honorary title of “China Mulberry Town ”.This paper focuses on the experience of industrial transformation and upgrading at home and abroad,based on the background of the development of mulberry industry in Dechang County,this paper conducts a deep research and analysis on the development status of mulberry industry in Dechang County,It is found that the development of mulberry industry in Dechang county has many advantages such as suitable natural environment,convenient transportation and good industrial foundation,therefore,as an additional emerging industry in the silkworm industry,the development of the mulberry industry has been very significant.Through the analysis of the value of the mulberry,the author draw the conclusion that the mulberry is indeed a treasure body,with the characteristics of homology of medicine and food.Mulberry can be eaten freshly,and can also be used to make canned food,juice,wine,yogurt and other processed foods;the mulberry leaves,in addition to being used used to feed silkworms to obtain silkworm cocoons,can also be used to make mulberry leaf tea,which has health care benefits,As for the mulberry branches and mulberry roots,they can be used in the health care products.In summary,the economic,social and ecological benefits of mulberry are remarkable,giving it a large development space and good prospects.It is suggested that the mulberry industry should be integrated into the food industry,the pharmaceutical industry,the feed industry,the manufacturing industry,the textile industry and other industries,give full play to the leading role of competitive industry,optimize the allocation of resources and innovate mechanisms,develop a plan to work out organization strategies of the industry,and promote the transformation and upgrading of the industry so as to achieve the positive development of the mulberry industry in Dechang county.After the field investigations,the author found that there are still some problems in the development of this industry : for example,the farmers do not have good understanding of the silkworm industry,the management system is incomplete,the level of specialization of farmers is too low;the industrial model is too single and not to be integrated,there is no regulation and supervision in this industry;the development of diversified industries is limited,the overall strength of processing enterprises is not strong,the driving capacity of the enterprise is weak,the anti-risk ability is poor,there's a shortage of professional talents;the service system is incomplete,the technology is less innovative;the brand operation marketing level is poor,no systematic marketing and no market leading products to guide the market.This article also introduced that while Dechang County is vigorously developing the mulberry industry,it did not completely abandoned the cultivation and development of the traditional silkworm industry,but there is a sign of serious decline in the silkworm industry.In the two differentiated industrial chains,the author summarized the development path of the mulberry industry in Dechang County.Dechang should focus on the structural adjustment,improve quality and efficiency,and take serious measures to the develop the advantage industries.Set the mulberry industry as an important pillar industry and make great efforts to develop it.Providing administrative guarantee for the development of silkworm industry to truly achieve the development goal of “ leaves and fruit being utilized,mulberry and cocoon being developed”.At the same time,in respond to the problems in the development of mulberry industry in Dechang County,after the deep research and analysis,the author proposes the following countermeasures and suggestions.First,change the mulberry farmers' concept,increase the training,and increase their enthusiasm for planting mulberry,and disseminate technology;Second,conduct rational planning,actively plan to establish high-quality production bases,standardize the industry market,and improve the functions of various departments;Third,seize the opportunity,solve the problem of imbalance in development of various industries,expand the diversified industrial chains,create a good environment for the industrial transformation and upgrading,and launch the leading products that can guide the market;Fourth,make comprehensive use of various marketing tools,expand the market,strengthen brand effects,differentiated competition,and establish a benefit connection mechanism.
