Maze is one of the three major grain crops in the world.It occupies the first place of sown area and total output of grain crops in China,and has important economic value and research significance.In order to study the response of the different maize varieties under different planting density,this study set up six density gradient,namely D1:45000 plants/hm~2,D2:54000 plants/hm~2,D3:63000 plants/hm~2,D4:72000 plants/hm~2,D5,D6 and 81000 plants/hm~2:and 90000 plants/hm~2,compared the yield and agronomic traits respectively in 14hybrids.The relationship between them has been discussed.The results of this experiment are as follows:with the increase of maize planting density,the plant height and ear height of maize increased significantly,and the ear height was positively correlated with maize lodging rate.The number of ears and grain number per ear and 100 grain weight of maize decreased significantly with increasing density.The decrease of kernel number per ear was mainly caused by the decrease of row number per ear and grain number per row,in which the variation coefficient of row number was higher than that of row number per ear.With the increase of planting density,100-grain weight showed a decreasing trend,but the variation coefficient of 100-grain weight under density treatment was not significant among different varieties.At the same time,Dongdan 502,Tieyan 669,Xianyu 027,Dedan 1105,Liangyu 919and Tieyan 818 have higher yield.The yield reached the maximum when the density was72,000 plants/hm~2.Hengyu 698,Zhonghai 959,Dongrun 57,Enai298,qiankun 618,Damin3212,Londi 2011 and Jidong 26 reached the maximum yield when the density was 63000plants/hm~2.The maximum yield appeared under the treatment of D3 and D4 y,indicating that the current yield planting density of maize should during 63,000 plants/hm~2 to 72,000 plants/hm~2.
