White-backed planthoppers[Sogatella furcifera(Horváth)] and brown planthoppers [Nilaparvata lugens(Stal)] are important rice-based pests,which have migratory,a wide range of occurrences,significant threateness,and propogation with viruses.They are seriously threatening China’s food production and food security.The promotion of resistant rice varieties can effectively prevent the occurrence and damage of whitebacked planthopper and brown planthopper.In this paper,different rice varieties(lines)were identified for indoor seedling resistance and field resistance identification of adult planting,two rice varieties(lines)showing high resistance of planthoppers were obtained.On this basis,through studing the effects of rice materials with different resistance levels on the growth and reproduction of whitebacked planthopper,the antibiotic mechanism of resistant materials was studied.The main results are as follows:(1):142 materials were identified by MSST for resistance to seedling resistance of brown planthopper,and 20 resistant materials were identified.3 materials were highly resistant at the seedling stage;7 materials were resistant;10 materials were medium resistant;17 materials were medium-sensitivity,and 105 materials were susceptible.The rice seedlings S1022 and 79-1163 were identified for resistance to seedling stage of white backed planthopper.The results showed that the tested rice varieties S1022 and 79-1163 showed medium resistance at the seedling stage.(2)In the field experiment in 2018,the average relative index method and the standard of rice damage were used to identify the resistance of the 194 rice varieties(lines)in the field.A total of 83 resistant materials were screened based on the average relative index method;184 resistant materials were screened based on the evaluation criteria of rice damage.Combining the two evaluation methods,81 materials showed different degrees of resistance.According to the investigation of the damage of rice leaf roller in the field,a total of 57 rice varieties(lines)with a leaf rate of less than 5% were screened out,and the results of the resistance identification of whitebacked planthoppers were combined.A total of 19 rice varieties were screened.Rice varieties(lines)with better pest performance.(3)The antibiotic mechanism of rice plant S1022,79-1163 was studied by using the amphoteric life table technique.The results showed that the total developmental duration of rice plant S1022 and 79-1163 fed whitebacked planthopper was significantly lower than that of the susceptible population of TN1.The fertility(egg/female)of rice material S1022 was 19.92,which was significantly lower than that of the control.The pre-and total lifespan of the adults of the rice material 79-1163 were significantly lower than that of the control group TN1,and the fertility(egg/female)was 7.71,which was significantly lower than that of the susceptible control TN1.Feeding white-backed cornucopia.The growth rate,peripheral growth rate and net proliferation rate of the white-backed planthoppers fed by rice varieties S1022 and 79-1163 were significantly lower than those of the white-backed planthoppers fed by the TN1,the average cycle and sense of generations.There was no significant difference in the whitebacked planthopper fed by the insect control TN1.The tested varieties(lines)S1022 and 79-1163 were not found to affect the wing-type differentiation of the white-backed planthopper.
