Strawberry(Fragaria × ananassa)is of great importance that is cultivated in world wide. With the extention of protected cultivation, soil salinization become to be a universality exist which threats production and cultivation of strawberry in field.Methy Jasmonate(MJ)is a new type of plant growth regulator with characteristic of high performance and nontoxic.MJ could improve the resistance of various abiotic in many plant specieses and has a widely future application prospect in agriculture. In present research,Cultivation strawberry ‘Benihoppe' seedlings was irrigated with 200 mM salt water to form salinization stress.0.25 mM Methy Jasmonate(MJ)solution and Salicylhydroxamic Acid(SHAM)solution which is a inhibitor of Jasmonate biosynthesis was sprayed to seedling leaves respectively.photosynthetic pigments content, osmolytes content,Activity of active oxygen scavenging enzymes etc was measured to explore the physiological effect of MJ on strawberry leaves under salinity stress.Further more,High throughput sequencing was employed to reveal differential expression genes at transcriptome level. For providing a further understanding of molecular mechanism of jasmonate affecting plant salt tolerance, and provide an effective method for reducing the negative effect of salt stress on strawberry product in practical protected cultivation. The result showed that photosynthetic pigments of strawberry seedlings changed under the salt stress, while the content of osmolytes, the activity of SOD enzyme and the content of MDA increased. When treated with methyl jasmonate, the decreasing trend of chlorophyll content in leaves was inhibited, while the MDA content in leaves increased. The effect of Methyl Jasmonate on active oxygen scavenging enzymes was not significant. The physiological parameters of SHAM treatment,a jasmonic acid biosynthesis inhibitor, were determined. The results showed that SHAM inhibited the decrease of chlorophyll content in Strawberry Seedlings under salt stress, but increased the content of MDA with the decrease the content of proline.High throughput sequencing compared the changes of leaf transcriptome between methyl jasmonate treatment group and control group on the 6th day samples.A high quality sequencing data were obtained and 2490 differentially expressed genes were determined. The enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes yielded 8differentially KEGG pathways between two different treatment samples. In conclusion, exogenous application of methyl jasmonate has a positive effect on maintaining physiological parameters of Strawberry Seedlings under salt stress.
