More primitive wild tea tree resources with abundant variation are distributed in Liuzhou.In order to take advantage of resources and breed local specialties of Liuzhou,Tea tree resources of Liuzhou Jiuwan Mountain were developed and utilized indirectly and directly and evaluated systematically from superior individuality selection and processing suitability of tea landraces,which could contribute to reasonable development and utilization of tea germplasm resources.1.Biochemical components and agronomic traits of 87 superior individuals were measured and observed respectively for 2 consecutive years.Results showed that,wild tea tree resources of Liuzhou Jiuwan Mountain mainly characterized by high content of water extract,moderate content of tea polyphenols and EGCG,high content of amino acids and caffeine,lower ratio of tea polyphenols to amino acids.And the overall performance of 87 superior individuals was suitable for processing green tea.Part of them were suitable for processing green and black tea.Further,23 superior individuals were selected from 87 superior individuals.And their biochemical components were measured for 2 consecutive years.Results showed that,the 23 superior individuals characterized by higher content of water extract,moderate content of tea polyphenols,high content of amino acids and caffeine,and lower ratio of tea polyphenols to amino acids.In the agronomic traits,23 superior individuals were all middle or little leaf varieties.Their bud and leaf colors were green or amaranth,and leaf shapes were ellipse or long ellipse.And the 100 buds length and weight of one bud and two leaves of 23 superior individuals were 3.2 centimetre and 18.4 grams respectively.2.The wild landraces resources of Jiuwan Mountain were used for processing green and black tea.And sensory evaluation results showed that,score of green tea processed by Jiuwan Mountain landraces was 94.7,which was higher than green tea processed by Fudingdabai and Guilv No.1(both 92.5).Score of black tea processed by Jiuwan Mountain landraces was 93.4,which was higher than black tea processed by Guilv No.1(92.3)and 0.4 points below Fudingdabai(93.8).This showed that Jiuwan Mountain landraces was best fit for processing green tea and fit for processing black tea.And its quality characteristics showed that green tea had obvious chestnut aroma,fresh and mellow taste,and black tea had obvious sweet aroma,sweet and mellow taste.3.Biochemical components of green tea and black tea processed by Jiuwan Mountain landraces were measured.Results showed that,compared to Fudingdabai and Guilv No.1,green tea and black tea were both characterized by high content of water extract,amino acids,theanine,and moderate content of tea polyphenols.Comprehensive analysis showed that,quality of green tea and black tea processed by Jiuwan Mountain landraces were both superior to Fudingdabai and Guilv No.1,which had great development potential.
