In order to meet people’s needs for rations rice,high yield and super high yield have long been the first target of rice production in China.With the improvement of quality of life,people have higher demand for rice quality,and ensuring the quality of production has become a top priority.The improvement of plant type represented by erect panicle type with high nitrogen cultivation mode is the successful achievement of high yield of japonica rice in northern China,and the high quality rice variety represented by curved panicle type with low nitrogen cultivation method achieves the goal of excellent taste.But the output is low.Therefore,this experiment consists of 8 pairs of recombinant inbred lines(codes Z1~Z8 and corresponding respectively)constructed by China’s typical erect panicle type japonica rice variety Liaojing No.5(high yield)× Japanese typical curved panicle variety Akita Komachi(good quality).W1~W8)is a test material,with high-yield nitrogen application mode and Japanese high-quality nitrogen application mode as reference.High nitrogen(22.50g/m2)and low nitrogen(11.25g/m2)are set.In order to study the effect of ear morphology on yield and quality,the ear of the curved panicle was fixed and erected at the heading stage.The yield,yield components,quality-related traits,material accumulation and distribution,grouting dynamics and panicle traits of different panicle types of rice were studied.The main findings are as follows:1.The panicle type has a significant effect on the yield and yield components.Compared with the curved panicle family,the yield,economic coefficient,total biomass,dry matter accumulation and tiller of the erect panicle family are higher,while the plant height is lower.,reaching significant or extremely significant levels,respectively.2.The panicle type has a significant effect on the brown rice rate in processing quality,and has a significant effect on the polished rice rate and the whole milled rice rate.The panicle type has a significant effect on the appearance of white grain rate,chalkiness,and aspect ratio.The panicle type had a significant effect on the taste value.Under the same fertility cultivation conditions,the taste value of the curved panicle type rice was higher than that of the erect panicle type rice,and there was no difference in the taste value between the panicle types.3.After changing the panicle type,the thousand-grain weight of the curved panicle type rice,the 1000-grain weight of the straight panicle type rice decreased,and the seed setting rate and the taste value of the two panicle type rice increased,so that the panicle type had a certain influence on the yield and quality,and Further research is needed.In summary,the erect panicle line with high nitrogen cultivation is an important way to achieve high yield,but high nitrogen application significantly reduces the taste quality of rice.Nitrogen fertilizer has the greatest contribution to the taste quality of indica rice,and the effect of panicle type on eating taste is relatively small.Therefore,the use of erect panicle lines combined with an optimized nitrogen operation model has the potential to achieve higher yield and better quality.
