The Development Of Sericulture In Nanbu County In The Late Qing Dynasty In Nanbu Archives

Sichuan called silkworms gathering of countries,it is one of the cradles of the Chinese sericulture.Mulberry planting,sericulture,silk reeling and silk weaving have been important family sideline for farmers in sichuan since ancient times,also is an indispensable part of the people's social,economic and cultural life.In the late qing dynasty,sericulture was hit by multiple blows and lost its glory.Fortunately,the qing government realized the importance of sericulture to a large agricultural country in time and issued a number of decrees calling on all regions to persuade sericulture.Taking nanbu archives as the main material and nanbu county as the center,this paper explores the development of sericulture in the late qing dynasty under the initiative of the government and the response of the people,and discusses the influence of sericulture on social culture.Mainly divides into five parts: the first part is introduction,mainly elaborates this topic research significance,research status,research idea,problems such as the difficulties and innovation.In the second part,introduces general situation of the development of regional sericulture since the qing dynasty briefly.In the third part,mainly discusses sichuan governments at all levels in the late qing dynasty on the advice sericulture classes issued by the decree,as well as nanbu county for the implementation of these decrees.The fourth part,focuses on civil society,discussing the positive and negative responses of the gentry and the common people to the sericulture.The fifth part,exploring the social and cultural influence brought by sericulture to the local area under the environment of flourishing sericulture industry.By analyzing the specific situation of sericulture production development and change in nanbu county,we can further understand the modernization of sericulture industry in sichuan and its influence on the whole society,economy and culture.
