Phellodendron amurense Rupr is one of the national secondary protected species.Currently,seeds are the reproduction materials of artificially cultivation and self-renewing.The seeds of Phellodendron amurense Rupr are physiological after-ripping,which has extreme difficulty in germinating under natural conditions.The responses of seeds germination in different habitats to temperatures are different,and the formation of such a difference is closely related to the climatic conditions of the year.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the correlation between seed dormancy of Phellodendron amurense Rupr and temperature and humidity factors,and to determine the key factors affecting the dormancy.Three methods,namely different cold stratification days,sublevel low temperature stratification and continuous low temperature stratification to evaluate the dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in Beijing Medical Plants Garden and Jiufeng.The latter two methods were used for the first time in this paper and have already granted a patents.All the three methods showed that there is a great difference in the dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in different years,and even in one same Phellodendron amurense Rupr sample,the proportion of dormancy at shallow,moderate and deep degree are different.In order to further explore the main difference of dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in different years and different sampling points,this study analyzed the dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in different years and different sampling points through analyzing its principal component.The methods of different cold stratification days and sublevel low temperature stratification revealed the annual difference of dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in Beijing Medical Plants Garden,ere mainly reflected in moderately dormant seeds,while those in Jiufeng were reflected in shallowly dormant seeds.The difference of seeds dormancy in the two places are mainly in moderately dormant seeds.In order to explore the influence exerted by temperature and humidity factors on the dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds,this study analyzed the temperature and humidity factors with great changes for 3consecutive years,the results showed that neither Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in Beijing Medical Plants Garden nor those in Jiufeng showed obvious certain temperature and humidity factor contribution in annual temperature differences.The main difference in temperature and humidity factor between the two places are the lowest temperature in abscission period,the highest temperature in growing period,the lowest temperature in the whole year and the annual average humidity.In order to further explore the temperature and humidity factors that affect seed dormancy degree,this study use the gray correlation method to analyze the correlation degree between seed dormancy degree and temperature and humidity factors,the results showed that the temperature and humidity factors with significant correlation to the dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds during the year were temperature difference in germination,accumulated temperature during germination,accumulated temperature in flower season,average humidity and lowest temperature in early fruit season.The temperature and humidity factors with significant correlation to the dormancy degree of Phellodendron amurense Rupr seeds in different places were the humidity in the early fruit season,the lowest temperature in the flowering season,the humidity in fruit development season,the lowest temperature in germination and abscission periods.Through the analysis of Sperman correlation,it was found that the accumulated temperature in germination and flowering season,the lowest temperature and average humidity in initial fruit season were negatively correlated with the degree of interannual dormancy,temperature difference in germination season were positively correlated with the e dormancy degree.The lowest temperature in germination and flowering seasons,the average humidity in initial fruit season and the average humidity in fruit development season were negatively correlated with dormancy degree in different places;the lowest temperature of abscission periods is positively correlated with dormancy degree in different places.
