In the context of the rapid development of “digital forestry”,the demand for forestry data is increasing,but forestry surveys and data production are still based on field surveys and visual surveys.These operations cause data low accuracy and automation.To some extents,these ways for obtaining forestry data hinder the development of modern forestry.Slope,aspect and slope position are the main factors in forest resource surveys.Therefore,it is of great importance to improve the accuracy of the subcompartments slope and aspect and realize the automatic extraction of the slope position,which can improve the quality of forestry basic data,reduce the workload of field investigation,and save the manpower,time and material resources.With the development of digital terrain analysis,the use of the DEM for the subcompartments factors extraction has become a trend.The extractions of the subcompartments slope,aspect and slope position based on the DEM have important research value.On the existing subcompartments slope and aspect extraction methods,this paper summarizes the shortcomings and advantages of common algorithms,and proposes a factor extraction algorithm to eliminate abnormal elevation points.In the research of the subcompartment slope position algorithm,the fuzzy theory is introduced into the calculation to realize the automatic extraction of the subcompartments slope position.Finally,this paper uses the Ninhai County second-class survey subcompartment data for algorithm verification.The results show that the improved and proposed subcompartments slope,aspect and slope position algorithms can replace the manual measurement.When the data meets the data specification,the results can match the manual measurement by more than 90%.Comparing the measured data with the calculated data by t-test,it is found that the P values of the algorithm of slope,aspect and slope position are 0.72,0.83 and 0.66,respectively.It realizes the extraction of the subcompartments slope,aspect and slope position automatically.And the results are more accurate.It improves the efficiency and quality of the subcompartments surveys and provides reliable data for forest resource planning and design,and provide scientific basis for forestry production and management.
