It is well known that potatoes are propagated by tubers.During potato seeds making,the potato is usually cut according to the bud.The benefits of doing this are not only to ensure normal sowing,but also to save the seed potato.In agricultural production,economically strong potatoes are generally selected as seed potatoes.The dicing of the potato can increase the contact between seed potato and the air as much as possible,promote the exchange of oxygen,and promote the early germination of the seed potato.The corresponding emergence time can be 7-10 days in advance,and the yield is increased by 15%-20%.Then the unified disinfection of the seed potato can reduce the incidence of plants and promote the growth of plants.Although current seed potato planting has a certain degree of mechanical automation development,the seed potato is still manually completed.Based on these defects,this dissertation designs the intelligent potato cutting machine which realizes the intelligent cutting of seed potato based on the bud recognition.Firstly,the mechanical part of intelligent cutting machine is designed,and then the bud is identified.Finally,according to the distribution of the buds,the dicing is carried out,and a cutting decision mechanism is proposed.The mechanical part is modular in design according to feeding device,stable center device(feeding),detection and recognition device,cut-off unit and potato chip collecting device.The entire process requires manual loading.Then,in the stable center,the seed potato which is too small and does not need to be diced can be directly screened.Finally,during the potato collection process,the machine will automatically disinfect the seed potato.The whole process requires only one person to operate,saving manpower and resources.Through literature review and actual investigation,we found that different regions or planting scales have different selection of seed potatoes.People will use different periods of seed potatoes to produce seeds,which requires different research on bud recognition in different periods of time.The process of bud recognition includes pre-processing potato images,extracting the features of the seed potato bud and non-bud by local binary patterns(LBP),finally recognizing the seed potato bud by support vector machine(SVM).In conclusion,this dissertation completed the mechanical design of intelligent seed potato cutting machine,checked and simulated the important parts according to the designed mechanism.Because of the phenomenon of "sticking knife" when seed potato is cut into pieces,the knife is designed emphatically.In the process of bud recognition,the new and old seed potato images collected in different time were experimented with the proposed method,and the comprehensive recognition rate achieved 97.33% satisfactory results.Finally,combining with mechanical part of the design and study of bud recognition,thedecision-making mechanism of cutting seeds according to bud is proposed,which is to say,the knife type is selected according to the number of the bud,and then the polygonal centroid and bud line formed by the bud line is referred to as "centroid line".The knife is rotated by the angle between the centroid line and the blade of the knife to ensure that the seed potato block contains a bud to the greatest extent.
